Liverpool play well and win without their two supposed superstars who've both played crap for the last year. Not a single fan mentions it.

With a weakened side, Woy picks the right team and delivers both a good performance and a great result. Not a single fan mentions it.

100 clean sheets for Reina and notably an assist for the 3rd goal. His save at 2-0 during our now customary retreat/surrender was absolutely crucial. A goal then and we'd almost certainly have dropped points.

Still not happy with Hodgson but I think he's paying the price for Liverpool fans being institutionalised by Rafa's stubbornness and failure to adapt. There's nothing to say Hodgson wont learn from his mistakes quicker than Rafa did, but I really don't like this policy of hiding in the 2nd half. Not a good performance tonight, Villa really gave this game to us but I'm starting to like this Meireles chap so a gold star for Hodgson there.

No, it ain't the best I've got, because I've offered better so many times before and found you to be dishonest, insincere, ignorant and utterly stupid. Experience has shown that there is no point engaging you with reason and evidence. All there is left to do is sling mud. The fact that you can't resist wiping the mud off your face and laughing to pretend to everyone that you're not bothered only makes it that bit more entertaining for me.

When Chelsea fall apart it's down to Ray Wilkins, an Englishman, leaving.

When Liverpool were shit under Rafa last season it's Rafa's fault.

When Liverpool are shit this season under Hodgson it's Rafa's fault.

When United deploy negative, defensive tactics and get a draw it's all praise for Ferguson.

Not really. Who says Redknapp is the new Messiah? And when does Fergie get praised for the relatively dire football Man Utd have played for most of this season (and the last two)? People made a big issue out of Kidd leaving Man Utd, and about McLaren leaving Man Utd, and about Queiroz leaving Man Utd, and about Paco leaving Liverpool. In fact, whenever an assistant manager leaves a big club, it gets mentioned quite a lot. Race/nationality hasn't a thing to do with it. And like it or not, Rafa did leave a squad already in decline and Hodgson hasn't had the money or support from the fans to sort it out.

Keys and Gray talk a lot of shit, but they talk a lot of shit no matter what the topic/club is, and there is a germ of truth in what they are saying, because Rafa did leave behind a pretty poor squad given the money he had to spend on it.

To suggest that the squad Rafa left behind is worse than the squad he inherited when he came here is ludicrous and there's absolutely no justification for it. I wont go in to it again but all I'll say is when Houllier left, if we had opted then for Hodgson or someone like him instead of Benitez we would be lightyears behind where are now in terms of quality players. We're still lacking as a squad and we need 2 or three big money signings to see us challenge for the top 4 properly but with the right management we shouldn't be too far behind who ever will finish 4th this season be it Spurs or City and that's down to Rafa changing us from a team about to slip into mid-table medriocrity into a European force with quality in all departments.
