Lewis's deluded and arrogant rantings about Liverpool compared to other teams continue to be utterly cringeworthy; Aaron Lennon, is fucking shit. That is all.

    Ale

    Doh

You call me arrogant then say Lennon is shit. Are you mentally retarded? I Suppose you think Theo is suddenly amazing now after a few good displays mixed in with years of being mind-boggingly average.

If you took issue with me saying our team that finished second wasn't worse than your team now then let's go through it:

Almunia/Fabianksi/shezney (what ever the fuck he;s called)<<<<<<<<<<<< Reina
    Sagna<<<<<<< Arbeloa
    Squillaci<<<<<<< Carra
    Djourou<<<<<<<<<<< Agger/Hyypia
    Clichy-----------Aurelio(that season anyway)
Fabregas---------Gerrard (that season Gerrard was unbelievable)
    Song<<<<<<<<<<< Mascherano
    Wilshere<<<<<<<<<< Alonso
    Nasri>>>>>>>> Kuyt
    Walcott-------Benayoun----- (that season)
    RVP----------Torres-------

    Ale

Did anyone deny that team was a very good one. You have a habit of veering drastically off topic in these debaets. I'd change the Arshavin is a better player than Benayoun, and i rate Arbeloa, but in the premier league, Sagna is a rock this season.
How much did Aurelio play even that season? And Koscielny starts not Squillaci, not that that really changes the rating as i guess Carragher was decent once, still a hoofer though. WOuldnt not even consider changing the two.
    Anyway, who cares?

    Albrighton-A.Young-Downing
    Bent

Chinterestingly all-English bar Friedel (though Clark has chosen to play for Ireland).

Seems bonkers that Ged prioritised the league ahead of your cup game. You have plenty of games to win the few points you'll need to ensure survival, why not have a real crack at silverware?

Newcastle: Harper, Steven Taylor, Williamson, Coloccini, Jose Enrique, Simpson, Tiote, Nolan, Gutierrez, Best, Lovenkrands.

Subs: Krul, Guthrie, Perch, Ameobi, Ferguson, Richardson, Kuqi.

    --------------------------------------------------------

Don't see an awful lot of creativity in that Newcastle side.

Aye. With that one game, Houllier has lost most of the fans he'd slowly won over in the last couple months. Utterly stupid and nonsensical. How's this for a cheese-eating surrender monkey of a quote:

Houllier was then asked if he thought his strongest team could have beaten Manchester City. His answer will shock Villa fans and should set alarm bells ringing at both Premier League and FA headquarters.

Houllier’s response: “No. Honestly, no. It would have been difficult. I knew they would put their best side out and their squad is better than ours, but look at the figures. Look at the players they have.”

We beat them in January ffs!
