Arsenal goal ruled out for a debatable offside call against van Persie. Tame shot from range that Gomes palmed into his net. To give him the benefit of the doubt he stopped at the sound of the whistle. Would have been a shocker otherwise.-

Ok, not a tame shot, but one that should have been easily saved. From 30 yards and straight at the goalkeeper. Should have been an easy save.

Spurs are bossing the midfield now and Arsenal are dropping too deep. They still keep hoofing it long to Crouch though. It's not great to watch.

And there we go. Shooting ourselves in the foot with yet another unnecessary penalty. We're fucking useless, and really stupid.

Good save from Szczesny to deny Modric. Has there ever been a more stupid team than this Arsenal side? I can't think of any team that so regularly manages to undermine itself.

Jason Lee#2 has had a good game. Lovely through ball for Lennon to win the pen.

    Good pen by LampVaart.

Then Modric coulda/shoulda made it 4-3..

Brilliant 1st half followed by a tame second for Arsenal. Any title hopes now over, all that's left is to crawl over the line for CL qualification.

It's pointless Bendtner being at the club if he is only going to play right wing, get a natural in that position FFS.

Agree withh Debs and coops - BAE was very good and there is no way a club of Spurs' stature could get much better than him.

Another gem from comolli - it must be a real sickener for him to see the man who spent £50m on Crouch, Defoe, Palacios and Keane get all the credit.

BAE was absolutely brilliant tonight. Our motm. Everything he did was brilliant, and his distribution was spot on. Its not bullshit though to say his passing is erratic. If he played like that every game you would hear no complaints from me. It was like watching a mini cafu with an Afro.

Best way to sum up this game: with crouch and pav= arsenal on top. With Lennon and only one of them= we were on top.

Some good attacking football from both sides. Shame about some of the defending....

VDV, modric, BAE, Lennon, kaboul all did themselves justice.

Corluka, gallas (the chest down), huddlestone (goal apart) , crouch, pav were poor.

So 4th looks unlikely. At least we re unbeaten against north londons 2nd team Ale

Trust me, in a large number of games his passing has been somewhere between groan inducing and abysmal. I'm not expecting to have a left back with iniestas range, but some composure isn't a lot to ask for. Tonight he was faultless so giving him his dues. 50% of that on a regular basis and I ll never criticise him again.

Shame it hands the scum the title (i expected over the last moth or so though cos Arsenal always bottle it) but good result for us. Spurs 2 points behind, have to go away to us, Chelsea and Liverpool and we have a better goal diff so we are in a good position. The big one will be us v them bi think we will take them at our gaff and have our revenge.

Yes, it's amazing how a 100 million pound summer spending spree can help with that obtaining that revenge...Wink

I hold little hope of catching man city- we ve still got to go to Chelsea and Liverpool.

Then again, you've lost Tevez and we have a tremendous record against City. We just need history to repeat itself.

For talent and potential the players he bought are much better than redknapp's signings (Taarabt, Dos Santos, Kevin Prince-Boateng etc.), however he left the squad horribly unbalanced during the farce of the 2008 summer window..

Gutted really, Arsenal were there for the taking and we didn't do enough to make them set off the gun that they seem to have permanently pointed at their own foot. Redknapp was a moron for starting such an non-athletic team against Arsenal (football basics 101)... See how we dramatically improved with Kaboul, Lennon & later Sandro all on the field.
