No worries juts came across a bit of news, Helb will be back in january for is successful loan in germany, will be more than enough to cover for villa's absence.

the injuries have indeed been crazy, its that and pep's constant rotation that hasn't allowed for any continuity in the team this season, its time for pedro to find some form, villa is a big blow but that's because of his name and just plain numbers up front, his form has been horrible, so if pedro can step up and avoid injuries with cuenca and cesc I think we will be ok,

Think you underrate Drogba's technical ability. Not sure how he would fit into Barca's system, but my God when he's playing like he did against Valencia the other day, he is an incredible force of nature, and a joy to watch.

What about teams who park the bus in the Cl or even La Liga?Instead of having loads of midgets in the box and making Pique play as a striker Drogba would be a physical presence in the box as the midgets look for the opening.Take him on loan for 6 months I say.

Someone like Tevez would be good he can surely play in the position Villa does, hustles like hell and would be somewhere "closer" to Argentine, also think he would give us his all in hopes that we sign him permanently in the summer.

Eto'o would be nice too and a 3 month loan, by which time we will have back afellay, but he doesn't get along with pep

but the elephant in the room is neymar, just pay over the big bucks and get him in January.

Tevez seems to make sense. He's available for cut price 20 million. Barca know they're getting a quality player. Albeit a massive c**t, but then he'll have Busquets and Mascherano to hang around with so will be in good company

Re. RVP. I don't think he'd suit in either system.

For a fast counter attacking side like Real, he takes too many touches. We also have two young, talented CFs in Higuain, Benzema.

For Barca, I don't think he's the kind of center forward they need. It'd be like Ibra all over again under Pep.

RVP is much more versatile and mobile than Ibra. I think he'd be able to adapt at either club - he's an incredibly intelligent footballer.

He would be good for a short term option but if were meant to be getting Neymar then it will be a waste of money.

So no Sanchez, no Villa upfront.
It's time for Pedro to step up, cause all the attention will be focused on Messi.
But with Pedro and Cuenca on the flanks, it really really really doesn't give me confidence at all that we will score.

I think we'll be fine for this game. The key, as always, is that the midfield does its job with good possession and fast ball circulation. Santos won't have experienced that in the Brazilian league.

But beyond this tournament, I think we really need a signing. The squad is suddenly short again, with both Villa and Afellay not back for a while, and Alexis having muscle problems every 2-3 games. The options in the B team like Jonathan Soriano, Rodri, Kiko, Delofeu, Rafinha, etc. are ok for Copa games but not guarantees for La Liga or the CL, like Villa was. A loan signing is a must.
