Re: U17's World Cup Mexico
In fairness to Walcott, he was also excellent at this level.
The surprise to me was that he went to Arsenal and seemed to become more reliant on his speed than footballing ability. The last club in England you would have expected that from. Walcott is still only 21, he has potential to develop his all-round game. Bit overly criticised on these boards if you ask me

Sterling looks better technically than Walcott fo sho.
Sadly he's bound to be a Chav c**t who will think he's made it when he inevitably breaks into the Liverpool senior squad, as so many England youngsters appear to do

3-2 FT
Stupid way to let the English back in the game, should have finished them off much earlier. Credit to England for never giving up and trying. We'll need to improve considerably to win the semis, that's for sure.

Re: U17's World Cup Mexico
Duksch was the cucumber of the match as we say in German. First he wasted a huge, huge chance to make it 4-0 and finish the match, then he gave a direct assist for the second English goal. Incredible.
Should be flogged off to Siberia for that alone.
At least this was the first proper test for the nerves of the kids, the first real pressure situation.

Re: U17's World Cup Mexico
Well, Germany may well win this game on paper, but I'm claiming a moral victory to England:
A country with half the population and a much criticised youth policy were far from overawed by a German team displaying the much vaunted products of a well publicised 10year youth shake up, whose policy of uptake appears to be not only open to the residents of Europes second largest country, but also anyone who holidays there and fancies handing in their passport.
Oh, and the English blatantly all played with broken toes swell.
Well done lion cubs

Mexico, the hosts, or France.
We'll lose to both if the team doesn't learn from this. France in particular looks very mature and composed.

Re: U17's World Cup Mexico
Mexico would probably be the easier side. Watched them against Holland. The were below par to them.
They weren´t paticulary well against Panama, too.
Didn´t see much of France. But beating Ivory coast is an achievement. They were shit at the Euros, though.

Re: U17's World Cup Mexico
France are a lot better in this tournament than they were in the Euros. I agree that Mexico would likely suit us more.
To win the tournament, the team has to improve though, simply can't afford this kind of sloppiness.
