Aquilani has a strange cult status at Anfield, despite never really playing particularly well for us and clearly not wanting to be there. Compare that to the rite of passage the like of Lucas and Kuyt had to endure, or the "good riddance" stance seemingly taken by the majority of Arsenal fans whenever a good player jumps their sinking ship.
