Deluded statement #3465276 of the season:

"We have got a problem winning games in the league. We have to educate ourselves and maybe we have to not play the lovely football that we have been."

Yes, that sexy Barça-esque football that you play...if I squint, Downing plays just like Messi lol!

Even though old-fashioned & naive, they've managed to play at high speed & tempo, creating chances without moving the ball around playing pre-emptive possession like boring boring Barca. Finishing's been the problem.

Let's go back two weeks, they completely outplayed Arsenal, and it's Pool who could claim to have played 'beautiful attacking' football.

The point is Man Uniteds "fans" in East Asia don't support the club they support the brand, the same with Liverpool "fans" there but to a much lesser extent. They only "support" them because they are ruthlessly advertised over there and it's the in thing to do.Man United restaurants,Planes, shops, credit cards I even heard they where opening a Man United bank. Also there's no real football culture over there,it's all very fake, just a money making scheme for the likes of United.

Meanwhile in Europe people including myself support teams because of tradition, loyalty and the fact that we have football tradition and a sense of football history in Europe. The same can be said of South and Central Amercia.Outside of Europe and America football is just another tentacle of globalization,it's spread all over the world because of money not because of the love of the game <Ale>

So because we're living in a continent where football isn't a tradition we don't have any right to support any European clubs? Is that your point?

You are such a narrow-minded racist

    I assure you I'm not a racist.I have black,brown,yellow,purple,green,silver and turquoise friends.

Ask 10% what racist means, somehow I have a feeling he will know the definition. <Ale>

This article from yesterday describes our demise and our fans delusions pretty well.

    I laughed at this though.

"Walk around Old Trafford, the Etihad Arena or the Emirates on matchday. Pause, soak in the scale of the view and keep convincing yourself Anfield does not look like the remnant of another era. One day you will wake up and those Malaysian fans you keep fluttering your eyelids at will be wearing City scarves."

I labelled you as a racist because you 'think' that Asians don't deserve to support any European clubs because we weren't born in Europe

I labelled you as a narrow-minded because you 'think' Asians love football because football is just a global trend not because Asians love the game itself. To be fair, at the end of the day, If I'm being honest, we've played some really good football this season and at times our poor finishing has been the only reason why we didn't come away with 3 points. Since Arsenal robbed us we've reverted back to Hodgson football which was always likely when our chance of 4th was taken from us through harsh rape by a Dutchman.

Barca could learn from that comment though. Sexy football may just cost them a sexy title.

Irony being the team create a lot of chances which Suarez invariably fluffs, if he weren't so prone to pulling a wonder goal out of his arse every few weeks he would be as derided a signing as the rest.

Alot of the chances that Liverpool make are Suarez's own. Admittedly, he still does invariably fluff them.

Suarez and Skrtel are the only players to come away from our league season with any credit. Lucas until he got injured and Bellamy until he shat on Dalglish's desk.

Suarez is a brilliant player; plays with passion, never stops working, gives defenders a constant nightmare and has excellent close control when he gets inside the penalty area. His goal-scoring record isn't great but he can't be expected to be Robin Van Persie. Gerrard doesn't score enough. Kuyt, Downing, Carroll, Adam, Henderson and Spearing would be lucky to get 10 goals between them.

Dalglish is inevitably making excuses for our shocking 2012 in the league. What else is he going to say? That he cocked up transfers and the team is average? I'm not sure what Kas is expecting. When ever Barca lose Guardiola pretends he's going to retire, at least Dalglish doesn't do that.

That he points out some genuine reason for not succeeding - doesn't have to be negative - in the league. Saying 'we lose because we play sexy football' just sounds downright stupid.

The Sexy Football comment I can handle.

What galled me this weekend was his belief that Suarez dunking the ball whilst taking out the defender for Liverpool's "second" was a legitimate goal.

Well I think both Kasani and Fade Out are two of the better "personas" on here, so imagine my disappointment to hear they don't get on Sad

Dalglish is a company man and with any "type" extremes are easily ridiculed. It is a bit sad to see someone I admired so much as a child become a human shield, but my eyes had long since been opened to the fallibility of heroes and the realities of how the world works that I just try to ignore it now.

But thanks Kas for rubbing my nose in it, maybe Fade out was right about you Suspect

Well I agree with Worms that Asians in a way are destroying the game. What is the point of following a team from a city you never have even been too? I mean eating at a Manutd restaurant?? That is just wrong on so many levels. They tend to copy paste everything, however when it comes to football they rather follow. Why not support your local rather then buy a Barca, Madrid or United shirt that n other asians are forced to make for a few cents per hour.

It will only be a while before one of those above mentioned team is gonna start a franchise club there. Sadly.

Lewis watch Ba's goal again, look how on to the build up to the goal Spearing lets Cabaye get in the space behind him between the defense and midfield,he has no brain,he was initially marking him but he started ball watching and forgot about him.

And no this isn't a one off,I can spot these things from a mile of he has been like this all season and he's unlikely to ever change.

He simply can't play DM or Cm or anywhere else ffs at this level,he is shite,he's too slow and weak to get close to the players he's meant to be marking and he doesn't have the intelligence to make up for it.

Average on the ball as well.

We used to have Alonso and Mach, now we have shit like Spearing. If you are happy with Spearing then don't cry about us being a midtable team.

O ye it was the other black lol! I thought it was a bit suspicious when Glenn asked what seemed a genuine question. lol! He is incapable of having a normal conversation.

Anyway,Cisses 2nd goal I meant, just watch Spearing lose Cabaye,Cabaye then received the ball in lots of space between the defense and midfield and Skrtel had to come out exposing the defense.

If Spearing had positional sense and could run properly we probably wouldn't have conceded there.

    VI: Feyenoord sprak met Kuyt

    9 april 2012

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/apr/10/the-question-steven-gerrard-liverpool

"When Gerrard has not started this season, Liverpool have won 48% of games played; when he has started, that drops to 9%.

In the 11 games Gerrard has started, Liverpool have scored an average of 1.00 goal per game while conceding 1.36; without him it is goals for 1.24, goals against 0.90. They have taken 1.67 points per game without him, just 0.73 with. Project that over a season: without Gerrard, Liverpool would get 63 points, which last season would have seen them finish fifth; with Gerrard, they would get 28, certain relegation form."

It's like his stat regarding every game he has played for Liverpool in his career,Liverpool have a better record when he doesn't play.
