Xavi and Pirlo are under Rinus Michels school of football circulator's - essentially play makers, their goal is to keep the ball moving in the direction of those that will affect the game in the final third, quickly and regularly. Schweinsteiger, performs a similar role, but without the ability to dictate tempo... whilst a quality player, no doubt. Is not a playmaker. Cabaye is about as close to these players as a tampon to a woman having gone through the menopause, he struggles to impose any sort of passing game, is not a goal scorer by trade nor a ball winner. He's a jack of all, bit of everything, specialist in nothing. The comparison's are cringeworthy at best. Nowhere near the quality of players you've compared him to. I actually feel sick now, thanks.

Mertesacker is one of Germany's poorer defenders, Hummels is in a different league to this average joe. Hummels is a Rolls Royce of a footballer, Mertesacker a Ford...

Joe Cole's technique is spot on, his brain is about 2/3 seconds slower. Scholes is the best footballer England have produced since Gascoigne, if you cannot see this then there's no hope. When the likes of Xavi and Davids having played against him tell you he is something else, you need to forget everything you think you know about football, shut the fuck up, and listen. Because what you think you know, isn't worth knowing.

I think Cabaye could be alot more influential, but these sort of players need decent defenders behind them. Ball retention becomes more difficult when you have Mike Williamson and Danny Simpson around you, if they are replaced with good technical players i'm sure Cabaye will run alot of games next season.

Mikel is underrated, the little things he does during the course of a game, tends to go on noticed by watchers of the game, my self included at times, but he covers the defense well when on form and keeps the game ticking over.

If it weren't for this kind of stereotypical African midfielders syndrome, he would probably be playing more of a CM/AM position, because i don't think their is many if any who saw him coming up at a young player, would ever have guessed he would be playing a defensive midfield position.

Their was a big debate in nigeria a few years back, about how he has kind of lost his way a chelsea, saying he needs to be able to switch position and thus mentality when he plays for the national team, which is something much easier said than done

Van Bommel is underrated as well, he is seen as a destroyer, but their is much more to his game than that

I have seen enough of cabaye, the EPL is everywhere i turn, I can't help but see him, if a wasn't watching Newcastle this season, I wouldn't be calling for Colo to be called up for Argentina, cause God knows i didn't rate him, but he has been excellent this past season, he could be mentioned as underrated.

Cabaye is a good player, he is in the arteta category of player, perhaps after this season, he can be compared to modric, but what faded is saying, is a what the fuck moment.

Unlikely many, i watch a lot of football outside of my favorite clubs,
