Where did I say van persie isn't world class used a random defender and forward to cover all the areas of the pitch.

Well we (me) are able to come up with some rational judgment of players. As opposed to the tinted spectacles you always wear. From believing the defence that has cost you the champions league for the past two years is adequate, to hyping every single player who comes through the youth academy, how are they getting on by the way, it's just Barcelona verbal diarrhoea.
I could go through each of these but no one has a fucking clue what world class even means, or the actual level of hype that there was. Is this from fans here, from fans on twitter, from actual fans who go to arsenal matches, or from imaginary conversations you've had with people. It renders the whole thing entirely pointless.

Sagna has been one of the world's most solid full-backs. Flamini had an outstanding season in '07-'08. Song has never been a full-back. Vermaelen had an outrageously successful start at Arsenal and has since reverted to mediocrity. Almunia is awful. Lehmann was fucking amazing. Cesc was pretty good.

I think you'll find no Arsenal fan here these days is in the business of overhyping the current bunch. Like most others on here, I'd say we have one outstanding defender, and one world-class attacking midfielder shortly to be joined by another. They're the only three I'd shout about to the non-fan.
