According to the Spanish media, Barcelona sporting director Zubizarreta visited Mönchengladbach yesterday to finalise the (pre-) contract with 21 year old German U21 goal keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Ter Stegen to join Barcelona next summer, four years contract (2018).

I think that this move comes too early. He is very talented, but still very young for a goal keeper and not ready for a big club like Barcelona yet. On the other hand, he has already experienced a bad spell with Gladbach (and especially the senior NT) and has come back stronger and more mature. Still, Barcelona is a big challenge for this kid, knowing that he isn't even the guaranteed #1 for the German U21 yet, battling with another highly rated talent Bernd Leno (Leverkusen) for that spot.

Plus, Barca don't sign Germans, which makes me a bit sceptical. Will only believe it if the deal is officially confirmed.

yep we are trying to bring him in janaury so he can adapt while valdez is still here and back in great form, if not we will get pepe next season and he will be rotated with pepe for about a season, unless he is awesome and benches pepe reina
