Missed out on all the fun, I see....

Saw the first half of the Atletico match on delay, couldn't be bothered to watch any more.

I get the feeling that at the moment Ancelotti doesn't have strong convictions about the players or how he wants the team to play. He is of two minds. One one hand, at his first press conference he was saying things like "Real Madrid must win playing spectacular football" and then the other day he says "Well, at the end of the day, I'm Italian (in response to a question about the team playing on the counter)". I think he wants to play 4-4-2 but at the same time he doesn't really have players for 4-4-2. He wants to play Diego Lopez and he wants to play Iker.

Supposedly there was a big meeting with Florentino, Jose Angel Sanchez, and Ancelotti to "analyse the crisis" Erm

Already some media outlets calling for Ancelotti to be sacked. Doh

At least we can all agree that Benzema is a pussy (gato). Biggrin Ale

The team is looking absolutely clueless.Tactically abysmal, players look like they've just met up the day before.

I still don't understand why Isco is being played on the left. It's just a waste. Modric is having to come up to do the job he should be doing leaving the completely useless Khedira Isolated.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has claimed that he presided over the best team in Real Madrid's history.

The Portuguese parted company with the capital club during the summer after a tumultuous final season at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, when it comes to assessing his three-year stint in Madrid, Mourinho believes the numbers speak for themselves.

"One hundred points, 121 goals, we were champions against the best Barcelona there ever has been," the two-time Champions League winner told ESPN of the 2011-12 season.

"Who is the manager of the best Real Madrid team in history? That’s me. I am the one."

Asked whether he felt his teams were defensive, Mourinho rejected the notion outright.

"Real Madrid were a defensive team? We scored 121 goals and got 100 points," he countered.

"My teams are great teams. My teams are built to win. You have to be dominant to win more than not so that is what my teams try to be.

"My teams are the ones with all the goal records. I am the champion of the League of Records. That is my place in history."

I honestly cannot figure out what is the point of Khedira? He wins fewer balls than either Modric or Illarra. Can't pass. Doesn't score. Wtf is he doing in the team???? Grr

Isco on the left, well I think that is purely down to Ancelotti insisting on 4-4-2 for the moment and Ronaldo sure as f*ck isn't going to track back and defend so it is down to Isco.

I think just about everybody will agree with that. Benzema is living on borrowed time at this club. Morata needs to start obviously. He moves around a bit too much for our only real striker but given that we have nobody else he HAS to start now.

With regards to Isco there is no alternative unless we want to play Di Maria on the left which I wouldn't mind. Ancelotti is not succeding in implimenting any system for the team. He should consider going back to Mourinho's 4-2-3-1 for smaller teams. Also I don't see how Illarra should play instead of Khedira. So far he hasn't looked like a player who can contribute either offensively or defensively. At least Khedira assures we won't get outmuscled which is the biggest sin of progressive football although with Ancelotti and his positive football crap I suppose we can give it a try.

According to 'AS', Pep doesn't rate Lewandowski highly, so there's still a possibility of his transfer to Bayern failing. Hence Real Madrid are supposedly interested in him now as a replacement for Benzema.

Madrid supposedly are interested in signing him this winter, hence Borussia still getting some money for him.

But I agree that it's rather unlikely. Plus, BVB very much accepted not getting a penny for him and refused to sell this summer on purpose, because they still need him and can't find a proper replacement in time. Hence selling him in January is rather unlikely.

Marca came out with the Bale story. Of course this is days after AS came out with an interview from some lunatic saying that the club's actual debt is 600m and that because of it Florentino is going to sell the club to a foreign investor and will no longer belong to the socios.

Real Madrid fans fined for Nazi symbols

Four Real Madrid fans have been fined 3,000 euros each after displaying Nazi symbols in the 1-0 Madrid derby defeat to Atletico.

The fine, imposed by a Spanish government commission, comes after the unidentified members of the “Ultras Sur” group showed symbols including a swastika and the German word “Totenkopf”, a reference to the Nazi’s SS paramilitary organisation.

The four were also banned from sporting venues for six months. The same level of sanction that was handed out following an incident which saw a laser shone at Diego Simeone during the Primera Division game.

Real Madrid are yet to comment on the incident.

Why now..they have that for years, every home game of Madrid you can spot the flag of the Kriegsmarine only in Madrid colours.

As for Bale...well looks like the expected fail is going to be even bigger.
