Montpelier say we've agreed a deal for Cabella, though i'll believe it when I see it. Pardew ostracising and scapegoating Ben Arfa because he doesn't fit in with his cowardly "everyone needs to be a defender" football, then replacing him with a similar player, seems like a spiffing idea.

Any moment now Southampton will present Pelle!
Oh wait..there they just did it on their twatter account.
Look how fucking hot he is!
Only 10 million though...nontheless, he signed on a free because he bumped into Koeman's son on the beach..so all in all not that bad.
Goodbye HHH
Still think it's ridiculous to leave a club who is playing CL for a club..well..money isnt it. Modern football and all that.

Gotta say I pretty much agree with Kimbo's assessment of strikers. Not sure Bony fits Liverpool though. Unless it means him up front and sturridge playing the suarez role.

Re: Todays Transfer Rumours
Obviously Bony isn't going to play the same way as Saurez but there's no reason why he couldn't be a very convincing foil to Sturridge. That's if you actually believe Strurridge to be good enough to be the main striker. If Liverpool score 25-30 less goals from loosing Suarez but fix the DM and defence to concede 25-30 less goals. They should still be strong next season.110% wrote:Kimbo wrote:Bony is a quality player, better than Lukaku.

Sturridge doesn't have Suarez's aggression & work-rate to pull it off consisently.

I'd guess Brenda has come to the conclusion you can't really replace Suarez in the system so he might need to amend the system slightly.

Does anyone have Suarez's work rate and aggression ?
What Sturridge is lacking to enable him to pull it off consistently is a reliable set of hamstrings.
I hope without Suarez we will be switching to a one striker approach and leaving Markovic an Sterling to do the damage from the sides and increase their goal tally to 10-15 each. We don't need to replace all of Suarez's goals anyway as Shaz has mentioned. I could see the point of Bony as the lone striker in this system.

According to BBC, Markovic is having a medical and we will pay £20m.
As I regularly used to sign him for £1.7m in FM2012 I think this proves I am a better manager than Brendan Rogers

It's a shame, it should be an exciting signing. Our 3rd most expensive signing ever and we're giving him to Pardew, Carver, and Stone.
Janmaat is supposed to be having a medical at some point aswell, we're becoming a mix of France and Holland, so we're basically Belgium, who are also a talented squad with a shit manager.

Not the worst place to shop. Both France and Holland have good academies and the prices are still very reasonable (normally).

It is, we get alot of abuse for it but I think it's the sensible thing to do. We should go there for our coaches aswell, but we seem to insist on all our backroom staff being British hooligans. We're probably the only club where the coaching staff are worse behaved than the players and fans.

I take it you don't have sports direct in Holland Fey?
Although we are spending big for us.
De Jong - £6m
Cabella - £12m
and it's looking like
Janmaat - £5m
Riviere - £6m
I expect we'll still make a profit mind.

Imagine if England was in the semis of the world cup and you would sign the rb.

Because he doesn't give a shit about football and doesn't know anything about it. It's a mystery as to why he even bought a football club. The rumour is that he thought he could buy it and then sell it onto someone else quickly for a profit, but the deal didn't happen and he got stuck with it. Though I think his biggest problem has been finding someone capable to run the club.
If Janmaat cost any more we wouldn't be interested, we still need about 4 players ffs. I want Demba Ba, that would get me interested in next season.

The owner has some kind of strange business strategy that involved undercutting all competitors and putting out of business or buying them out, and subsequently flooding the market with shit quality products, and making his profits from quantity. The shops are a bit like those shops where everything counts a Pound or Euro. I used to always buy stuff like football boots on a visit to England, but not any more. Now I have to go to nike.com or buy in Germany when I am there. I hate sportsdirect.com

He's be horrible for sport fans. He took the famous LiillyWhites, previously regarded as the Harrods of Sport, and changed it into just another on of his sports direct shops. Filled it with horrible sportswear tat.

There's no guarantee Costa will be a success there, Mourinho called Hazard a selfish baby at the end of last season and John Terry has to turn to shit one of these seasons.

Yeah, I don't expect Hazard will be in the XI. Surely it will be Matic + Ramires or Mikel or maybe even Khedira if Jose can outbid Arsenal at the last minute. Fabregas as the attacking midfielder and Oscar and Willian (or whoever) on the wings
