Cesc isn't as good as Ronaldo at the moment. He's stepped up his game significantly though.

Ronaldo has actually had a slow start to the season in comparison to last year, yet he's still managed 10 goals. says it all really. He should win WPOTY, but he won't, cos he plays in the EPL Ale

Why on earth are people comparing Ronaldo and Cesc? They play in totally different positions and are very different in terms of style. You can't base it on goals and assists because Ronaldo is virtually a forward. So what is it based on? scratch

The fact that Cesc isn't a regular for Spain (apparently).

Funny thing is, in a year Cesc would be illegible for British citizenship. If onyl he'd not been called up for Spain yet Erm

But Cesc is not in Ronaldo's level even though both are in the form of their lives?

Ronaldo isnt in the form of his life at the moment. Cesc is. Im confused by what you are getting at?

How could Ronaldo be out of form when he destroyed Blackburn? Anyway, Cesc is above Ronaldo at the moment which puts him in the same scale as him. And where is Rooney in all this?

Hmmm, he scored twice against Blackburn - one of those thanking Tevez for an absolutely sublime pass, hardly single handedly destroyed them, very much a team effort. And so far this season, he has not been as outstanding as last season, so no- he isnt "out of form", just not in the form of his life: he can be better.

And where is Rooney in all of this? Try on the treatment table; beforehand he was closing in on a record of consecutive goals scored in consecutive games for Manchester United (9 in 9), and forming a lethal partnership with Tevez.

As I've said for ages though- Man United dont rely on any one player because they have many good players. When Roma came to town, it was thanks to Nani and Rooney for unlocking their defence. In other games, Tevez has been the difference. In games like Blackburn, Ronaldo was the main player. Same with Arsenal. However, so far this season- Cesc has been Arsenal's best player and Rooney for Man United. You need only ask the United fans.

So what i say? He's got competition from Xavi, Iniesta, Alonso, Albelda, Silva, and Senna. It's probably the hardest midfield in the world to hold down a place in.

Yea no shame really. And that's not even mentioning the likes of Joaquin, Vicente, Navas, Reyes etc who compete for midfield places. At 20, he's already had 15-20 or so caps, which is no mean feat considering the competition he faces.

Iniesta likewise was in great form for Barca, but wasn't a regular starter for Spain, but because of his match winning performances for Spain he now seems more of a feature, even if he is often out of position. Xavi & Albelda seem to be somewhat regular starters, but that won't last long particularly with Albelda.

Well, Xavi hasn't been brilliant either has he?

Albelda's been poor this season though, although I expect he might get replaced by Senna partially

Well, that's why I said neither of them will probably be nailed on starters before too soon.

Albedla has competition from the likes of Senna, Zapater & Raul Garcia.

Put Alonso ahead of Garcia and they should play that midfield right now!
