How does it? he had bad 2 years yes but the 2 years is 04/05 05/06
in 03 04 he was still playing pretty well

always someone has to do that. 16 real matches though, he still play well for the majority, must remember played on the left for a good few aswell, the whole of euro 2004 he did aswell.

Don't be silly Pierre. It's not a case of "falling into a trap". 3 years without a goal is appauling by anyone's standard, unless they're full blown defensive midfielders and Scholes certainly isn't that.

Foreign posters rate Scholes highly because of his passing, is posinoting on the pitch, is ball retention skills, and is work rate.

One of the players that I always feared the most every time Portugal played England back in the days. It was a shame that he quit International games so soon, but a blessing for England opponents.

Players you cannot question even with facts:

Ashton: has he reached double figures in the EPL?
Claim to greatness: looks a good player

Scholes: good at passing, and a nice shot.
Claim to greatness: rose-tinted glasses (people look back fondly at all the great things he did without remembering how limited he was)

Oh, and I'll be the first to admit that Gerrard has been poor for England. I just don't think Scholes deserves the benefit of the doubt when he goes nearly 30 games without a goal. I wouldn't give it to Gerrard either.

Of Course you'd do it to Crouch after more than 20 games because he's a striker. Scholes is a central midfielder.

I am guessing this point was in reference to the fact that I couldn't remember a manu-juve match in 1999 that i said I would have to google? I explained at the time that I did watch it but couldn't remember it. Sorry i don't have the DVD of manu's greatest year. Your copy must be getting a bit worn by now so buy a few more, never know when you might win anything worthwhile again. Its probably a bit sticky as well as you seem to get excited every time scholes is mentioned .

I have the potential to watch more English footy than you while living in Italy. My mate has english sky so I can watch everything you watch, and I have Italian sky, importantly it means I can watch matches on Saturday at 3pm (illegal to broadcast in the UK to avoid dropping attendances).

More important than the quantity of football I might be able to watch is that I have a greater knowledge of the game than you, and the ability to be objective. Don't worry though, comfort yourself by watching MUTV 24 hours a day where you get all your info about everything it seems
