Couldn't judge that foul on Harry (too far away). I saw Hofs get an elbow. Ref was good indeed.

Haven't seen it on tv yet (Was poor defending from Bahia, guess it wasn;t offside, was not sure myself), was a very good goal indeed. they played some more nice passing football with a lot of movement. Wouldn't mind us having 1 or 2 of their attackers: Brozek or Paulista.

Why not. We had a crap start of the season, but won 9 out of 10 last matches, Vlaar, the new Stam just returned from injury. Castelen will be back to turn every Spud defender inside out.

We play home first, we can beat anybody at home. a small win or a draw will give us good chances for the away match.

Tottenham boss Martin Jol was not surprised to draw Feyenoord in the Uefa Cup.

Dutchman Jol will return to his homeland for the tie and he is excited at the prospect of tackling the Eredivisie titans.

Jol admits he had a sneaking suspicion that Spurs would draw Feyenoord and he is wary of the threat posed by the Dutch club.

"I said it yesterday that we would probably get Feyenoord," Jol told the club's official website. "It is not a bad draw for us, they are probably not as good as when they played Spurs in the final of the Uefa Cup in 1974, but it is still a big club who get crowds averaging 45-50,000.

"It will be difficult going over there because they are strong at home, but we've got the advantage of playing later at home.

"Feyenoord are in the top five in Holland and are normally in the top three. There is another Dutch club, AZ Alkmaar, who beat Seville on Thursday and are now in the top three instead of Feyenoord.

"They had to sell Dirk Kuyt to Liverpool, but they have still got bundles of talent. They've got a young squad who have done well and beat a good Wisla Krakow side this week but I feel if we play with confidence like we have been then we can go further.

"It could have been worse and it could have been better, but I am looking forward to going to Rotterdam."

Tottenham could face either Braga or Parma in the last 16 should they see off Feyenoord and Jol knows both sides would provide a stiff challenge if they reach the next round.

"If you look at the teams in the last 16, Braga are strong and are the third team in Portugal with Porto and Benfica," added Jol. "Parma are a good team and are a contender in Europe."

Ha, he predicted it as well then, it appears Spurs are very affraid....

Feyenoord are playing down their chances of making a big impact in the January transfer window.

The Rotterdam-based outfit are currently in fourth place in De Eredivisie but financial realities mean they are unlikely to splash out in the New Year to help lift them up the table.

"As the situation is now, we won't have the finances in stock," technical manager Peter Bosz told Algemeen Dagblad.

However boss Erwin Koeman is still keen to add some more experience to his squad when the window opens on 1st January.

"This group still could use one or two experienced guys," said Koeman. "Footballers who other players can try to pull themselves up to."

FFS, I thought things were going better these days, seems nothing has changed Suspect
We definately need at least a midfielder and a new striker.

Biseswar is still not delivering I agree, but the kid is so talented (could still change like RVP), would love him as a sub.

I'm a bit more positive on Harry lately. Think there's a fair chance Harry will prove to be good signing after all.

At least he works his socks of, the way he made himself available throughout the match v PSV, reminded of Kuijt.

Yes, Bisiswar's football qualities would actually add something to this team, but I doubt if he is the kind of character we need in these days.

Harry, did excellent yesterday. Droped back to receive the ball, good passing, but still wasn't creating much oppurtunities. But how good was Drenthe yesterday?? Still I do think he suits best as CM, nut he is a bit small though.

Drenthe was amazing. Think he can play defensive mid, but I would like to keep him as left fullback. He's got more space for his runs on the wings and I think his vision is not good enough yet to play CM, did bloody well yesterday though.

Brillaint tactical switch for the 2nd half by Erwin. Ronald got owned big time.

I'm pretty positive about the future despite have no money (yet) most of our players are 23 or younger. They'll only get better and gel better together.

    Rotterdam to host tournament

The Port of Rotterdam, which celebrates its 75th birthday this year, is to host the event which will be played along similar lines to the annual Amsterdam Tournament.

Feyenoord and Shanghai Shennai have already committed to the tournament, and talks are believed to be underway with Liverpool and Hamburg to complete the four-team line-up.

The tournament will be played from August 3-5.

That would be ace, Dirk would be back at home again cheers
