Been confirmed he will leave at the end of the season.

Best for everybody. A return for a season to the premiership would be nice

I'm not happy...in the sense that I would have liked to see him be more successful with us. During his first year, he was superb for us...but it's been a gradual decline since then and this year he has been absolutely terrible. And with Ronaldo leaving either now or in the summer, it will really be the end of the "galactico" era.

Hugo Gatti is no doubt cursing Calderon, Mijatovic, and Capello as we speak.

ok Lots of people forget this. During his first season, if Madrid had a bigger squad, you could of easily won la liga and the champions league.

Him and Carlos used to make some great passes from one side to the other to each other, but for some reason they stopped the next year.

In our first CL match that season against Marseille, Beckham and Roberto Carlos connected for a magical goal:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OH5Axcl1J6Y

September through the beginning of March, I thought we were going to win the treble, we were playing that good. People forget we had a 9 point lead in the league at the end of February, were in the Copa del Rey final, and what seemed to be a very reasonable quarterfinal draw against Monaco. But like you say, it is a big problem when the boss only uses 14 players for the whole season. If we had signed Milito or Ayala, found a decent DM, and didn't loan Morientes we would have won big things that year...

Anyhow, still no official word on the RM website...

It's definitely a shame that we weren't more successful with him, and it's a shame that he has to go like this. I wouldn't say he was great in his 1st season with us though, the 1st half-6months yes, he was brilliant as were Real Madrid, but after that we and Beckham were terrible, due to the reason L r d mentions above.

Not sure why anybody would be crisitising or cursing Calderon et al because these are the kind of things that should be happening, likewise with Ronaldo, but still, each to their own.

Not much of a choice when Capello doesn't want him in his teams. "Real Madrid will NOT win a damn thing with Beckham as their player". That's what I call a prediction! Biggrin <Ale>

Inter or the American allstars Wink no doubt. very few prem clubs could afford the wages he'll demand... however bringing his kids back to britain may be a factor in him coming back here.

if i was betting it would be on spurs or bolton (think he has a house near there)

Just turned on Sky Sports News and their breaking story is that a Beckham spokesperson has confirmed that Real Madrid contracts talks are ongoing and that the interview with Mijatovic was translated incorrectly. They claim they're due to meet with Real in 2 days to discuss the offer.

So perhaps it's not over just yet
