20% of people in California speak Spanish. It's the language of South West.
As for his wage packet, over half of it will pay for themselves and the rest is reasonable pay for America. The worrying thing is, if the MLS ever explodes his wage value will become normal.
I can't see how they can support wages of that effect if they become normal where is the income going to come from.
As they can. There are major differences between Europe which make it have amazing potential.
- A state system. Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal and Aston Villa could be comfortably selling out 100k seater stadiums for minor league games if they were the only club in there catchment area.
- Most important part of the state system. A closed League. There's no chance of the farce of having 6 London/Lancashire clubs in the league at the same time.
- No Champions League.
- Endless Sponsorship opportunities.
- Willingness to pay expensive ticket prices.
We'll know when it really has become a big League when the Euro League pipe dream becomes a required reality.
