Ronaldo found it hard with the ref being head of the anti ronaldo movement. Sent him off last year for nothing, today booked him for nothing. rarely gave him a free kick Grr

A thoroughly undeserved victory but I'm not gonna whine much - except to say that Scholes was 100% fouled in the buildup to the RVP goal.

True that. Don't expect Sky to highlight it, too busy wanking over Henry.

Nothing, he should have won it in 2003.

I'm sorry but even as a Nedved hater that's bollocks.
So scoring 31 goals in the league isn't enough?

    .

+ doing well for France and also doing reasonably in the CL?

Please lets not turn this into another Henry debate, they keep going round in circles.

    ok

just ignore them , let's celebrate our victory Ale .

I know what would have been said here had he not scored today

    He won nowt.

With the exception of Man U 98/99 team - Prem means nothing pre 2004/2005 so fuck your 31 goals (should Kevin pHillips have won it in 2000?)

There were no big internationals that year and Arsenal got nowhere in CL.

Nedved amazingly consistent - won Serie A and got his team to CL final by totally outclassing Zidane.

Ill never understand playing rooney where he does in the bigger games..

I know you didnt but I thought he was utterly useless again today but I thought the main reason ronaldo and rooney were trying to do everything themselves was purely down to that formation. they didnt seem to have the normal support from midfield helping them out and neville certainly didnt overlap a fraction of what he normally does. Evra was the one bright spark because of his pace and fitness. it's tough playing arsenal but taking them on 4-4-2 would probably have been much easier for united in ball retention terms higher up the pitch. it's pretty worrying that fergie is still resorting to this formation which rarely ever produces good football

This is it really. Arsenal are so fast on the counter I think Neville would have got caught out if he had bombed up the field as usual.

Very surprised what people are saying on rooney here cotr. He was everywhere, made lots of good passes, scored, great shot saved by lehmann. Maybe because he has been so awful recently i think he was better than he was i dont know.

The rest maybe you right, but the first goal could of easily been prevented at least 5 times, and i dont think we would of lost if it had been. So cant overeact to much. 15 minutes away from being champions Laughing <Ale>

The game was tight. Much, much better than the crap served up yesterday by Chelsea and Liverpool. I feel we deserved our victory...but credit to Man U for making a good game of it. Clichy did superbly, I thought. Fabregas, after a dodgy start, got more and more into the game. I thought Ferdinand did very well for Man U, as did Evra.

but you will get countered by the stonewall pen claims if you say this.

lots of different opinions on a game. your united bias says no pen and a free kick on scholes..

my anti united bias says a definite penalty (which is backed by many many other people... and replays Wink ) and ill reserve judgement on the scholes 'foul' but i didnt think it was at the time.

Arsenal are a very very hard team to beat no matter what anyone says about them so there is no shame to lose twice to them really. they were both tight games.
