He is always left wing or right wing. And we rarely play 4-3-3. He is a winger. Just because he is not a static shitty winger like Milner or Pennant doesn't suddenly make him a striker or a front man. In a 4-3-3 he is one of the forward players as is Nani or Park are they not wingers now?

Park and nani are not forwards coz they don't make the runs forwards do, malouda for example who plays on the wing too is the same.

No chance. Messi plays a more advanced role than Ronaldo. Because Ronaldo makes better runs doesn't mean he doesn't play the same position as them. We rarely even play 4-3-3. When we do you can compare him to the Messi position a little. But usually no chance.

I agree. The united fans watch the matches the rest see he scores a lot and draw some dodgy conclusions

Yes I made a mistake when I signed Le Tallec and Pongolle, I hold my hands up. But that has no relevance to the fact that this season Ronaldo has played as a forward - hence his goal tally and his terrible assist stats. Even the Fergus said as much in his post match interview tonight. Are you saying Fergus is wrong?

Fergie recently said he has played upfront twice all season so his goal record is staggering. So i'd say you are wrong.

Lampard does the same job as ronaldo ie hog all the glory himself, shoot at every opportunity, very few assists, wasteful set pieces, minimal tracking back. He isnt a striker yet, but he's certainly not a midfielder. Ronaldo is just a bit better than him. I think lrd will soon be reproducing his ruud theory that you play better football without him.

Messi who lets be honest did not score as much goals as him last year + don't think he won anything with Barça came second last year .. something behind the scenes is dodgy. Gerrard should have won in 2005 , Beckham in 1999 etc + the years Henry was snubbed made sure these awards are nothing but a farce.

well they're usually a little bit retrospective so if Ronaldo wins the Treble & Euro 2008 then I'm sure he'll be in the running. Especially now that Eduardo's out for 9 months.
