Bellamy is not good enough - he's so overrated its not even funny.

I said this the moment we were linked with him

He will shine against the "tiny & mediocre" clubs like Everton - but gets horribly exposed against decent teams.

I would have thought the game against Newcastle put an end to this.

Funny how some say we signed Bellamy cuz we lacked pace??

    Pace: Cisse >>>>> Bellamy

    Goals: Cisse >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bellamy

    Attitude: Cisse >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bellamy

    Football Brain: Cisse ===== Bellamy

Signing Bellamy was a joke. Was never a fan of Cisse but at least he got us goals - something like 21 in all comps - starting from the bench mostly.

    Even Pongolle >>>>> Bellamy

    Alan Smith >>>>>>>> Bellamy

Reading some of our fans worship Bellamy makes me physically sick.. he's rubbish............

    i need a drink........

It's not like Abramovich bought Liverpool.. yes you will probably get some more money but Benitez will probably use it on more squad players.. He only made one big signing when he was at Valencia and Aimar didn't turn out too great.. I think Benitez isn't the type to go for stars..

Much used arguement that doesn't take into account that

    A) It wasn't him making the transfers at Valencia
    and
    B) They didn't spend big fullstop.

Aimar was there before Benitez arrived anyways.

i think benitez came in winter of 2002 and benitez came in the summer so you cant hold him account for that one.also i think its benitez own foult becuase he chose a club where we werent going to get alot of money and he knew that. so im not sure he can complain about it. we will see this summer if he shows more ambition.

Aimar came in the winter of 2000/January 2001, Benitez came in the summer of 2001.

Rafa came here with the understanding that we were searching for investment. He, like most, probably didn't think it would take the better part of 3 years.

Ecstatic that it's finally over and generally happy with all the noises that G&T are making. They've got an impressive PR machine, I'll give them that much.

Won't make any further judgement until they're actually in a position to do something other than say all the right things.

    Benitez issues discipline warning
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez will take disciplinary action and fine any player who breached club rules during their training camp in Portugal.

Benitez's warning follows newspaper allegations of a fracas between Craig Bellamy and John Arne Riise on the trip during last week.

According to the reports the incident followed a dispute during a night out in the Algarve resort of Vale do Lobo.

Liverpool play Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday.

One chance Luis. If he's cocked it up he can fuck right off. He's not the sort of quality that's irreplacable.

If he is proven guilty then there are no excuses simple as, however the same should go for Fowler, Dudek and Pennant

... And Putteril is the new Anderson Cool

    Oh, by the way

Liverpool FC have today released the following statement from manager Rafael Benitez
"I met this morning with the entire first team squad and made it absolutely clear to all of them the responsibilities that come with playing for this club and the way they are expected to conduct themselves both on and off the pitch.

"The players worked extremely hard at last week's training camp, but we will take disciplinary action and fine any of them who are found to have breached club rules during our stay in Portugal. I've told the players this and they understand and accept the decision I have taken.

"Despite reports to the contrary, the spirit amongst the lads is very good with everyone looking forward to the game against Barcelona on Wednesday.

"We remain totally focussed on what will be a very tough game against the defending European Champions."

    lol!

All Liverpool fans should tune in to the Valencia-Barca game starting in a few minutes...apart from Messi maybe starting, that's what you'll see on Wednesday. And I bet Benitez is carefully watching this game and will use the same tactics as Valencia if they're succesful today, or tweak them if not.

    Is right.

Use a bit of common sense for fuck sakes Lulu.

Riise was "attacked by bellamy with a golfclub" but miraculously has no bruises and remains uninjured. Like fuck!

Probably a minor altercation that's been blown out of all proportion. The fact that we're talking about fines and not suspensions says as much.

The team on Wednesday might give you an idea on happened.

Or do you think Rafa was always going to start with Kuyt and Crouch upfront? if thats the front two against Barca.

i would use Bellamy's pace to start with then bring on Crouch.

I don't think the team on Wednesday will give us any hint into what happened to be honest. No one could guess it anyways. I could see both of them playing, neither or just one of two. I don't think anyone has an idea as to who will start.
