Drogba and Cole went down a few times, but the game wasn't overly physical.

Football Genius wrote:Well if Ricky was watching, at least he can't possibly comment on Liverpool's style of football, when Chelsea's long balls all game were on display.
I was more dissapointed with Chelsea's style of football, than our obvious lack of penetration (solely due to the lack of quality we have out wide and upfront)
When a club has spent hundreds of millions over the course of recent seasons, you'd expect them to play better football than Joe Kinnear's crazy gang at Wimbledon.

It wasn't just the lack of quality. I didn't even get the impression that you cared about winning that much. Your whole gameplan appeared to be all about each player saying "do we have enough back? ok we do, i'll go forward". Safety-first again.

It is more evidence that 2 teams from the same country playing each other in Europe produces boring games.

I realise this is a hard concept for you Barca fans to appreciate... but it's called organisation.
Primarily why you went out... when you don't play well if you are organised at least it makes you difficult to score goals against.
Had we of lost 2-0 you can be certain the tie is over, at 1-0 the game is very much in the balance.

The goal, I guess. Chelsea kept it on the ground for a change. Carvalho brought it out of defence, no one closed him down and he passed it to Drogba, who ran down the right-central area of the pitch, overpowered Agger and squared it to an incoming Joe Cole who just nipped ahead of (i think) Arbeloa to finish.

Which will affect his creditbility.
Sometimes he comes across very smart, other times an absolute tool.
The more he whines the less decisions will go his way.

I did watch Kas, I just wondered as I couldn't think of one myself and it is very hard for a Chelsea goal to be the highlight of a game for me! I suppose it was maybe one of the three saves. I'll go for Cech's one, and the shot from Gerrard which was a beauty on his weaker side. How did everyone think Kuyt played tonight? I thought it could be debated that he was the best 'Pool player?
