Like I said, he was better than Lampard, but there were 5 other midfielders on the pitch who were better than Gerrard tonight.

you are expecting too much if you think gerrard can singlehandedly burst through chelsea's four man defensive shield, especially when outnumbered in midfield. his job tonight was to try to control the midfield and not get caught making too many forward runs ( the very thing people criticise him for ). he simply cannot win whereas masch is getting praise heaped on him for doing the same job

    the double standards are shocking

Miss the point a bit about the quality of football. It wouldn't be so bad if the quality was garbage if both teams were going all out to win. But Chelsea were playing not to lose for a lot of the match

I know the pressure on the players is huge (certainly playing away from home), but you'd think that they would be capable of scoring from 12 yards, no matter who's in goal.

You read the 'f@ck off' in the wrong context. Have you never been in an argument where someone goes 'f@ck off, (add argument here)'? Wasn't meant to be offensive.

Congrats to Liverpool. I didn't care which team to go through because both are not my favourite teams and as excpected it was a $h!t game again...

Liverpool were the better team and had to win this at regular time! The goal of Kuyt was no way off side...

I predicted Liverpool to go through on penalties so it didn't came as a surprise...

    Well done Liverpool.

Mourinhio is just not as good a manager as some make out. Thats not knee jerk, because they failed to go through. Thats because he must of been able to tell he had no drive in midfield at all and Lampard was doing nothing. Surely Essien would of been better in midfield even if they would of had to play Boulah at the back.

Only in recent months. Even up till January, Frank was getting in the positions and scoring the goals. Now he's trying to do too much defensive work, which is fucking us up badly.

Doesn't change the fact Gerrard was woefully average tonight Wink

I disagree. His alignment towards Lampard is misplaced, but that apart he has done nothing to show me he is anything but one of the better managers in world football.

Maké had one of his better performances this year but he misplaced the ball badly on at least 3 occasions, which in his position is worrying.

Mourinho is probably the best motivator in the world. However, he's not the best tactician, nor is he anywhere near. This is why we struggle when we play sides like Liverpool away.
