What exactly has Loddar achieved as a manager? ....Thought so.

Germany is "verbrannte Erde" for Matthäus. Nobody wants him, and even less need him.

did Loddar not humiliate the Nationalmannschaft with Hungary ???

anyway, who cares, Loddar is geballte Fussballunterhaltung

    Very Happy

already the Romans said : " Brot und Loddar"

Now that's more interesting. If there is one manager I'd like to replace Thomas Schaaf with, once he retires in hopefully distant future, it's Klopp. Klopp has everything to become a great manager, I rate him highly and hope that he will get a chance to manage a bigger club soon.

A great talent, and we really lack good managers in Germany these days.

will Klopp stay with Mainz if they get relegated ?

otherwise, he should go to my beloved Berlin

Don't think that he will stay in Mainz if they get relegated to be honest. Can't see him moving to "chaos club" Berlin though.

which other 1. Bundesliga club do you suggest for Klopp ?

Bremen, Schalke, Bayern, Dortmund, Stuttgart and probably even HSV are all spoken for, ditto Leverkusen

Berlin would be ideal and VERY realistic

many German talents, lots of potential, low expectations due to poverty

the media studios are around the corner as well

a win-win-win-win-win situation, if you ask me

It would be awesome for Berlin (and the Bundesliga) indeed, but do you really believe that Klopp could work with Hoeness, the worse of the two brothers that is?

Hoeness is Hertha's main problem, and as long as he is there, I can't see Klopp moving there. Klopp needs the full backing and support of the board, he needs to have time to experiment, to build a new team. In Berlin, with all the hysteria in the media, and the incompetent board that has ruined so many coaching careers, he won't get that necessary patience.

He should manage one of the clubs you mentioned. Unfortunately, only Berlin needs a new coach of those clubs you mentioned.

But who he will manage depends on how Mainz will do this season. If they get relegated, he'll move to a different club, any other Bundesliga club searching for a new coach basically, because Mainz (still) are one of the smallest clubs in the league. Even if he moves to Frankfurt, for example, his situation would still improve (Frankfurt will probably sack Funkel, not really liked by the fans).

Or he moves abroad, works as an assistant for a big club, for example, and gains experience.

Otto, its soon time to watch the tie of the semi finals.

Will a injury ravaged defence do what the Germans couldnt and hold out Kaka and co?

Will Rooney and Ronaldo continue their impressive form against the Italians?

Otto head over to the Euro Cup page and swith your TV to channel 3.

    Lattek at his illogical best

    http://www.sport1.de/de/sport/artikel_1112330.html

he is right to suggest though that Bayern HAVE enough quality as it is right now ( Loddar agrees, so do I )

they just don't show it consistently

even worse, they don't play as a team, players don't care for their team-mates

    Kahn has said so himself

    =========================

    Bayern now have to regroup

IMHO the SPANISH-speaking faction has no Germanophone counterpoint after the departure of Ballack/Deisler...

Schweini, Poldi, Lahmi are too young and inconsistent

SCholli is semi-retired, Kahn is rebranding himself

Lucio, Demichilis, Santa Cruz, Pizarro, dos Santos, Makaay and van Bommel occasionally even speak SPANISH on the pitch to confuse the opponents

there are no Effes or Ballacks to bridge the cultural gulf by virtue of personality

the team therefore fractures into groups

Klose and Boulahrouz for Makaay/Lucio and Bayern are back on track <Ale>

ah, and Lattek suggested that if ManU were really mad enough to shell out 30 million Euro for Hargreaves, he would personally drive him to Manchester in a wheelbarrow Very Happy

I really hope we don't go for him now or at least barter with the deal.

£20 million, when we have Fletcher, Carrick and Scholes in such great form would be stupid, especially when we need a top striker and maybe a winger too.

Should say £15 million or no deal.

@ Guildo : it's a disgrace how you keep having a go at Das Torphantom.

Without Roy Bayern wouldn't have made it out of the group in the CL and wouldn't have even been in a UEFA-cup place in the German league.

Meanwhile you can't stop praising Podolski, who has done nothing at all (except losing the title for Bayern).

I hope *all* Dutchies leave Bayern, Podolski plays every match and you get Doll as manager.

    I'd be Bayern's biggest fan ! Ale

    not true

I have repeatedly said that Poldi, Schweini and Lahmi are off the boil

they still have to play though

    Axeslammer wrote:

Makaay HAS to leave, but won't

his jealousy of Poldi is well documented; he even publicly advised Bayern NOT to buy him scratch

Makaay is an effective if limited player; better than Pierre believes, but certainly a poor partner for the PRINZ

it's also Makaay who told the press he communicates in SPANISH on the pitch Shocked

van Bommel offers grit, but is limited as well and too brutal

VDV, Robben and Boulah would be good additions though

I would not mind Bayern rediscovering their GERMAN roots; if they want to add a bit of Dutch garnish, why not ?
