    Question

Henry is WORLD CLASS - as replacements go you could do a lot worse

yep but at 30 he has about 2-3 years left before we would have spend another £40 mill to find a player like Eto'o.... very bad business..

I thought the idea was that Henry would be there as a player through which Krkic could be faded into the squad?

I'm surprised I'm having to enlighten you on your own squad's plans oleguer Wink

Bojan seems good but he has a loooooooong way to go yet, and might very well not hack it at a senior level.

My main objection about Henry is his age and the fact that he is unproven in Spain whereas Eto'o is perfect (on the ptich)

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani insists that Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o remains the club’s main target.

The Rossoneri have been heavily linked with the Cameroon international over the past few weeks, when Galliani admitted that he was waiting for the end of the Liga season to make an official move.

The Spanish championship ended on Sunday, when Barcelona were pipped in the race for the title by Real Madrid.

Several Blaugrana players, including Eto’o and Ronaldinho, are now being linked with a summer move and the San Siro is being touted as their possible destination.

“Do Milan want Ronaldinho? Our first objective is Eto’o,” said Galliani on Monday.

“If it is possible from a financial point of view, we will complete the move, otherwise we will continue with the Champions League winning squad, plus Ronaldo,” added the former Lega Calcio President.

Silvio Berlusconi had stated last week that if he could choose between signing Eto’o and bringing back Andriy Shevchenko, he would go for the Ukrainian star.

“Berlusconi and I agree on everything and that has never changed over the past thirty years,” explained Galliani.

“Is Eto’o the best possible solution? I cannot give an answer to this question, there are many different roads we can take,” concluded the Rossonero.

Eto’o recently insisted that he wanted to continue his adventure with the Nou Camp outfit, although his future has yet to be decided as it is understood that the Italian giants might offer up to £28m for the striker

Who else are you going for as a striker target? Surely Eto'o can't be the only one, because IF we accept an offer, Chelsea will double it in a second.

Apparently Galliani is happy with Milan's striker situation.... Ronaldo, Gila, Inzaghi, and Oli... IF they get Eto'o, they will let Oli go, else they will keep Oli.

    I hope they don't get Eto'o Wink

    Hmm...I can't see that happen.

Our other targets: Sheva and Drogba (the latter because he said he would like to play for us or you guys).

well we can't afford Drogba.. so I guess you would be favourites to sign him.

As for Sheva it is hard to say whether he is actually on the market or not..

If there's one thing you should know about Galliani is that he dates a bombshell.

If there are two things you should know about Galliani, then know that what he says and does are two completely different things.

The only reason Barcelona would sell a player is if they are somehow disrupting team unity, IMO.

Well that's what they say. That is one of the big reasons we won't be moving for Emerson.

The figures you were offering Kaka (if true) are above and beyond what anyone in football makes. Kaka is about the 6th highest earner (in salary alone) in the world (according to gazzetta). We apparently have given him a raise.

I don't know man. Perez was a smooth mover in the market, but I think he also backed off if he saw the club wasn't interested in selling. He always was a long-term thinker.

In a sense, but only until Calderon leaves. I just don't think there is room for negotiation with tactics like this. Now I'm not for one second saying Galliani is angelic. But he does have a little bit of experience in these matters.

Honestly I don't think anybody big will leave.

First of all because most fans don't want that; 2) Laporta should be strengthening rather than weakening the squad; 3) Our economy is strong enough to keep players 4) there are no real targets out there that are good enough to replace them (without having to pay a crazy price) and 5) the disruption rumours are mostly invented by the press.

Tbh, I don't think Kaka will join you guys until 2011 (if then even).

Milan simply won't sell, and as you say Kaka is happy here. Plus, no offence, we're way ahead of Real in footballing terms CURRENTLY. You won a domestic title, but we won the CL, and we will be competing for a score of trophies next season.

If Berlu wants Kaka to remain, he will. Kaka is largely a dream for you guys not only because of Calderon's tactics, but also because Milan wouldn't sell him even if Calderon played nicely.

Berlu is a rich rich man. If he is ready to invest 100 mill for Ronaldinho (using the same sources that brought the Kaka story), then imagine what he would do to keep Kaka.

Sheva was 30 and Chelsea were silly to pay that much for him. This is way different.

That's the thing, mate, even if Kaka wanted the move I don't think we would sell him to you guys. Galliani and Berlu are seething with the way you guys behaved. Calderon, in short, blew it. Or maybe Mijatovic did.

As for Emerson, who knows, if Calderon and Galliani reach a peace with the former backing off we will take Il Puma off your hands.

Pirlo reediscovered himself at Milan as a deep midfielder, so credit goes to you guys - he just didn't cut it as an attacking midfielder... Seedorf was/is way too inconsistant... we prefer our Stankovic to him anyday!!!

And as for Bobo, Simic, & Favalli - you are very welcome... in a year or two we will have Samuel & Solari also ready for you... its so good that we have someplace so close to dump our garbage Wink

As for Sheva it is hard to say whether he is actually on the market or not..

What does your gut say? Will anyone big leave Barca this summer?

The only reason Barcelona would sell a player is if they are somehow disrupting team unity, IMO.

    6) the players themselves want to stay ok
