Coleman's doing a good job, given the lack of funds. He's playing loads of the youngsters like Mikel Gonzalez, Carlos Martinez, Elustondo and Diaz-de-Cerio.

sure its why they didn't accept his resignation the other week. i think they understand that when you go down its pretty difficult to go straight back up these days, the loss of cash, players, etc. hits clubs v hard. eg Malaga last season really really struggled cos of this.

Really impressive performance by the whole team today. The first-half was dull as it seemed that both Malaga and Celta didn't want to concede the first goal. As the match drew on Celta got into the match with good link-up play between the Lago and Quincy on the left and excellent hold up play by Diego Costa. In one particular instance Quincy drove at the Malaga defence from his own half before laying the ball for Diego Costa, just outside the penalty area, who slotted it in, it was then ruled out offside for some reason. The goal finally came from a free-kick by Canobbio 30 yards out which curled into the bottom corner - with no-one having touched it.

Malaga hit back instantly, a diagonal ball played by the right-back to the left winger Calleja who blasted it in. From then on it was all Celta - with the ocassional break from Malaga - with Quincy, Jorge and Diego Costa running the show. Manchev had a chance to finish the game in the 42nd minute with a one-on-one but nothing came of it.

Elche are doing okay. They are playing later, Gifton on the other hand hasn't played of late, think he has been injured.

I wouldn't mind seeing Alavés back in la primera.. That final against Liverpool was the stuff of legends.. Remember how the shirts had all the club members' names stiched into it??

Thankfully for them Piterman has left. They got a couple of good players in Aganzo, Bernardo and Toni Moral.

Big game for us this weekend. Facing Samba's Celta at the Carranza. After the recent improvement on the pitch, this will be real evidence of how far we have come in beating a side who will no doubt be there or there abouts in May.

It was going to be the Canal+ game this Saturday as well.

Explotó también por la acumulación de errores no forzados del equipo, del técnico con los cambios -insiste en sacar a delanteros en lugar de a defensores en los descuentos, cuando debe matar los partidos- y por el infortunio de un equipo que ha dejado escapar en casa diez puntos en los últimos minutos, la mayoría de las veces en faltas absurdas al borde del área que acabaron en goles.

In regards to us, we have to win today otherwise a gap will open up between us and the top 6. IMO Malaga and Numancia are too far ahead so we find ourselves fighting with Sporting, Elche, Cadiz and Real Sociedad for that last spot.

Was a great win for us, slightly taking the strain away from the Lobos news earlier in the week. Good win for you Samba - think those teams you mentioned will be those battling it out, Malaga and Numancia seem to have a bit of an edge right now, although I still wouldn't be surprised to see the former fall back.

Javier Irureta to take over at Real Sociedad if the Badiola Chinese bid is successful.

Badiola's also looking at bringing Marti, Fran Merida and Zigic if he wins.

Currently watching our game against the scum from Malaga. No crowd trouble like last season by the looks of it! Bit of a shame, thats always a bit of fun. They are 1-0 up, in the first minute, but from what I have seen, last 20 of the second half, we should win this, chances have gone begging two or three times. 2-1 Dani double.
