The gossip on here is worse than Coronation street. Whatever people may think to know they nothing because they are never there making the deal. Fighting.......Wink

To be fair, it's only really Puro (who hates all white people, especially the English) who is saying Allardyce is a c**t. And Deano, who calls everyone a c**t.

Hang on Brian...do you keep up to date with all latest transfer news or do you live in hibernation?

Allardyce's comments and Newcastle wrecking the transfer is not gossip or speculation...it's what happened. FFS Laughing

I don't think Newcastle necessarily demanded more money. I think it was to do with payment methods - maybe West Ham wanted to pay in installments or after a period of time, whereas Newcastle wanted cash up front, or bigger lumps of payment, and so on. Things like these may seem small to us but they can make a big difference to businessmen.

Newcastle accepted a bid of £5m plus £1m if we get into Europe. They then upped it to £7m and £1m if we get in Europe. It's disgraceful. I think we will offer £6m straight as a last offer. No way we will pay more and let them take the piss out of us.

Deno...Just saying if you are not there your never going to know the whole ins and outs of the actual deal. I followed the transfer enough but what really goes on in negotiations and what the papers write can often be wrong...

    Sorry...mis-translation.

What we do know is what has been said by us and by Newcastle. They put the price up at the last minute.

Damn right it is. It's also a bit nuts - Dyer's hardly the sort of guy who'll be happy hanging around at a club that stopped him moving where he wanted. Talented player, and not a bad deal at 6 million quid but always had a bit of an attitude problem.

Laughing What a one sided thread, everyone has totally ignored what Chris Mort had to say on it. Which is odd seeing as it was his(and Mike Ashleys) decision, NOT Big Sams.

"It got uncomfortable the way West Ham went about trying to do the transfer.

"Therefore we felt we'd be happy for Kieron to stay and they would have to pay more to acquire him. I'm not going to elaborate.

"But they went about their business the wrong way, to my mind."

Maybe they found out that Dyer was tapped or something. Either way they got another £1m out of them, so hats off. <Ale>
