I dont know why SAF didnt bring Saha on earlier we looked so much better with him on the pitch.

Rooney was fantastic - even though he missed THAT header- like he always is against Arsenal, Anderson was excellent in the first half, but faded in the second half (we really needed Scholes during that period), Evra also played really well and was excellent going forward. Ronaldo got a goal and an assist but was pretty quiet. during the game.

PS if Rooney hadnt scored would it have been a red card for Gallas and a penalty?
No more than the ball to hand against Hargreaves to be fair.
lol Gallas helped the ball in, Hargreaves inhibited a cross.

I doubt the referee would have seen it to be honest. It all happened very quickly. And he didnt giver anything when the ball hit Hargreaves arm

    which was far more obvious.

Yes he saw that clearly and indicated why it wasn't a penalty.

A completely justified result (although Arsenal definitely played the superior football, they were at home).

Owen you're slowly turning into Kimbo we were 1 minute away from beating the so called best team in Europe in their own ground.

Tevez played badly, Ronaldo was quiet but still had more influence on the game (result wise) than any other player on the pitch. The defending was terrible for both their goals; as Vidic, Hargreaves and Ferdinand appeared to be day dreaming.

Arsenal had a lot of the ball, but didn't actually create that many clear cut chances with the possession they had. Apart form their goal there was never really any 'backs to wall the defending' from us.

I think SAF should have brought on Carrick and Saha for Tevez amd Giggs a lot earlier (60 minutes)

I don't think any united player played particularly well. you just grinded out the result and got a few goals on the counter attack

Arsenal are just a very hard team to look good against because they keep the ball so brilliantly

Cesc didn't have a great game to be honest. One gam doesn't make a season though parky.

I wasn't criticising his footballing ability anyway... Eboue's beena right c**t before, but in games that he's played well in

It was pure smash and grab, we were poor Rez. Our passing was a joke, I didn't see one great passing move all game. Arsenal had a number of shots in scoreable positions.

To be fair to Anderson, Fabregas went straight through the back of him if that had been Keane doing that to Henry there would have been cries for him to be sent off.

The card waving is totally unacceptable, however that's the norm in Brazil and Portugal, SAF will get him to cut it out of his game.

Anderson in the first half was the best player on the pitch, but in the second half he faded away, due to playing against 3 central midfielders with little help from Hargreaves, Ronaldo and Giggs.

Fabregas was ok, but nothing special apart from scoring a goal - the same way Ronaldo scored a goal and got an assist, but was still poor. I still imagine the media will still hype him up because he scored a goal.

It was pure smash and grab, we were poor Rez. Our passing was a joke, I didn't see one great passing move all game. Arsenal had a number of shots in scoreable positions.

As I said, the result is perfectly acceptable as far as I am concerned, I'm just not happy with the passing and defending for the goals.
There was one which was the best move of the game bu either team but is was saved.

the Rooney chance, yes it was a classic counterattacking move. Poor header on the end though. Should have scored.
