Absolute shocking signing Keane
Its the first surprising signing he's made.
Used to be good on Champo. Not sure how good he is in the real world though.
Did he play against Spurs?
No idea, but i saw this and decided hes shite.

Sadler signs for Hornets
WATFORD have signed Birmingham City left-back Mathew Sadler for a reported £750,000 with the fee potentially rising to £900,000.
The 22-year-old has penned a three-and-a-half year deal at Vicarage Road and is expected to make his debut in the FA Cup fourth round tie against Wolves on Saturday.
Sadler has represented England in several youth age groups and was a product of the Blues' Academy set-up.
He enjoyed a successful campaign in 2006-7 when he made 41 starts for Birmingham and he agreed a new contract last summer.
Sadler's arrival will increase the pressure on Jordan Stewart and provide some much-needed competition for him.

Don't agree - name me a fullback who is better in the air defensively than Stewart ?
He should be taking the set pieces too - not Lee Williamson.

Woodgate and King sounds good, but they also sound like a waste of money on wages cos they're never fit.

Landzaat fuels Feyenoord title charge
'Extremely happy'
The 31-year-old joins the Eredivisie side for a fee reported to be in the region of €1.5m, on a two-and-a-half year contract. "We are delighted to have been able to add another player of this calibre to our squad," Feyenoord general manager Peter Bosz said. "In our view, Denny is the kind of player this team needs right now."
Freaking bargain me thinks.

Re: Done deals
Chelsea have signed Argentinian teenager Franco Di Santo on a four-and-a-half-year contract.
The Blues have made no mention of a fee for the Argentina Under-20 international striker - but it is believed to be around £3.4million.
He is arguably one for the future and is unlikely to feature for Avram Grant's first team this season, as he has Nicolas Anelka, Didier Drogba, Andriy Shevchenko and Claudio Pizarro ahead of him in the Stamford Bridge pecking order.
Di Santo started his career in the youth side of Godoy Cruz de Mendoza - but he then opted to switch to Chile and he has since flourished with Audax.
From 35 starts he has bagged 13 goals in less than two seasons, and has also shone for Argentina's youth sides after he opted to play for the country of his birth rather than Chile - who also wanted him.

He's been poor..he's not been fit for alot of the games..and we probably need a bit of money to fund any deal for someone like Alves.

I wonder what went wrong with the Fulham transfer.
Marcus Bent has been impressive recently, if he gels quickly with King it could be enough for Wigan to stay up. Heskey's goal return isn't good enough for now.

I wonder if Woodgate's being signed as cover for King or as a partner. IF Spurs are lucky they'll take it in turns to get injured and can be paired with Dawson/Kabuul. A fit Woodgate/King have the potential to be the new Wetherall/Radebe but can anyone really see them playing more than 20 games a season together?

Nope, but for sure they can get him on appeals as a special talent.
Spurs going for Woodgate is hilarious. The only way they could top this is by trying to sign Wes Brown 2 years ago.

We always seem to have trouble with work permits..we tried to sign Benny McCarthy about 4 times..and each time all was agreed with him and the club and all work permit requests were rejected as were the appeals. Blackburn seemed to have no bother though...
Alves should get one, cant see why not...he doesnt have the % of games for Brazil but he should still get one, maybe after an appeal.

Boro, i remember Tord Grip saying that if we ever moved for him we were not hopeful of getting a work permit for him. It sounds crazy for someone of his talent and hopefully you will get it sorted.

Spurs officials are in spain to try and tie up the Albelda. Not sure if this Transfer will go through..
I have no idea if Woodgate has agree terms. Thats out in the open.
