The contract of crocked Brazilian striker Ronaldo has not been renewed by Milan, as the club wants to wait and see if El Fenomeno recovers fully from injury.
The career of El Fenomeno was believed to be in doubt after he severed a tendon in his knee playing against Livorno in February.

After a successful operation in Paris, it was revealed that he would be out of action for at least nine months, although a more likely return date was said to be in 2009.

Although Ronaldo’s rehabilitation is said to be going well, and well ahead of schedule, Milan have been hesitant to offer him a new contract just yet. The 31-year-old’s contract at San Siro actually expired yesterday, meaning that he is now a free agent.

UOL Esporte has reported that Milan are still following the progress of Ronaldo’s recovery closely, and could offer him a new deal once he proves his fitness.

However there have been reports to the contrary, in the Italian press recently, that Milan have no intention of offering the former Real Madrid and Barcelona star a new contract, so it is very possible that we have indeed seen the last of Ronaldo in a Rossoneri shirt.

He had a record of 7 goals in 12 games or so in his first season. he has proven that when he plays he scores and started to really connect with Kaka and Pato before he got injuried. i would no way say he flopped.

Galliani To Give Ronaldo Another Chance
Milan’s outspoken vice president, Adriano Galliani, has decided to keep hob-nobbing with Ronaldo and he is willing to give the Brazilian another chance.

Ronaldo has been woeful ever since his move from Real Madrid last year. A knee ligament injury in February threatened to end his career and, as a result, the Rossoneri decided not to renew his contract.

However, Galliani has thrown his hat into the ring again and he admits that he is wiling to give Ronaldo another chance on certain conditions; that he eats less and loses weight.

“I have tried to call Ronaldo on his mobile but he is not answering,” said Galliani.

“Ronaldo has the sympathy from everyone at Milan and, to be honest, he needs to lose some weight. “He has to train hard and prepare himself as well as make sacrifices.

“Therefore, if the conditions are right, we well see what we can do with him.”

Ronaldo is currently a free agent but it’s unlikely that another club wll come in for the star given his proness to injury as well as his unstable knees and, of course, his rich calorific diet.

Despite his poor physical condition, he was effective for us, its always a shame when a footballer's career is affected by injuries beyond his reasonable control, he seems to have been born with weak knees!

But the season before last he helped save us and push up up into 4th place, last year it was just starting to come together again until his injury.

Sad to see, i hope we've given him the support he needs and hopefully he can resurrect his career, he still scores goals but his physique and fitness status have forced him to change his game from that explosive talent we saw at barcelona and Inter to a more careful striker, his work rate at Milan was non-existent but he still scored goals, and some very good ones!

Brazilian superstar Ronaldo and the Bolivian national team trained at Flamengo's sporting complex in Rio de Janeiro...
Brazilian striker Ronaldo was the big attraction during the training session of the Bolivian national team in Rio de Janeiro as they prepare for their World Cup qualifier with Brazil on Wednesday.

Ronaldo, who will turn 32 this month, finds himself unattached to any club at this moment after not renovating his contract with AC Milan. The former Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter Milan star trained on the same field as the Bolivian national team as he prepares for another come-back in the coming months.

"I'm the new signing of the Bolivian national team," Ronaldo joked to the local press on his arrival at Flamengo's training headquarters.

The Bolivian players observed the workout of the two-time former World Footballer of the Year, who trained in the middle of the field, while Erwin Sanchez's side trained on the other side.

Bolivia, who occupy last place of the South American group of World Cup qualifiers, will face Brazil at the Engenhao stadium in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday.

Brazilian striker Ronaldo has claimed that he will regain his peak form once he recovers from his injury woes...

The 32 year-old, who celebrated a birthday this week, has been out of commission since February due to ruptured knee ligaments sustained in a league match for AC Milan against Livorno.

The extent of the injury meant that the ex-PSV legend had his contract with the Italian side anulled, and he has been without a club since.

This week, after close to seven months of inactivity, Ronaldo returned to training with Brazilian side Flamengo, who have given the striker permission to use their facilities.

Now that he has been set on the path to recovery, the ex-Real Madrid forward has promised to regain his best form, which saw him hit over 70 goals in 104 Brazil caps.

Although he has been jeered at for gaining weight during his recovery, Ronaldo is confident of playing at the top level again.

He told the press: "When you haven't been able to do any physical activity for five months, it's only natural to put on weight.
"I'm not feeling any twinges in my knee anymore and that's what really matters.

"The muscles are still weak though and it's not easy to get a machine going that hasn't been used for so long.

"From now on it's about working on my physical condition - that's the trickiest part but I'm on the right track.

"I will be back and I'll rediscover my best form. I'll play football again like I did before."

He can do whatever he wants. Eating, smoking, drinking, partying everyday, go out with transvetites, etc. I don't have any problem with that. The problem is that he insists to say that he will be back at his best. He doesn't give a $h!t about football anymore, he just wants to STEAL money from naive clubs like Flamengo and City.
