Well formations are part of discussing football , tactics you put formations and discuss how certain players will line up what duties they will be assigned , what triangles would be going , what should be discussed in a football thread by the way is Ronaldinho lazy or not.

Nothing wrong with discussing it, I just said that IMO all the Man. Utd. fans here seem to overdo it and it gets monotonous after a while, reading the same things about the players. It's not as if Carrick's strengths and weaknesses change significantly every month.

Regarding the question about who Barça fans would prefer not to face, well, what do we say really? My answer is the one most would give because right now no matter what midfield combo you play it will probably be stronger or equal to ours.

If you have energy and we play Scholes and Carrick , you would be playing your midfield against Carrick at the moment.

Iniesta has energy, for about a half.

Toure is not 100%.

Xavi, well, he never runs much or plays a very physical game anyway.


So I guess we'll be playing both Scholes and Carrick.

Not sure I agree. They've had many must win games in the league this season and they simply haven't been up to it in any of them. Nothing run of the mill about it.

I just fear more barca players than united players. United are more of a solid team, than a spectacular team. They are built on defence, counter attacking and set pieces. Whereas barca have the ability to make you chase shadows for 90 minutes.

This of course is based on barca's top players recovering their form

in a two legged match i may tend to agree but not a one off, rafa is v good in the league stage, and over two legs BUT his final tactics have been woeful. ffs the win v milan had sweet fa to do with his tactical ability it was simply $h!t or bust football

What makes you think I will be looking to compare Fronaldo to Messi in this match. Fronaldo has done enough this season for me to already say he's just a shoot-on-sight poacher who can score ugly freekicks and a single game like this or Villa wont change that.

What I will looking at in this match is how ManU's CM deals with Barca's and vice versa, how the Barca's defence deals with Rooney being supplied by VDS and how far Henry(should he start) has dropped off if he cant even make Brown look the donkey he is.
