La Liga Summer Transfer Thread

From what I know, he didn't feature hardly at all when he was at Celta so he moved in the January transfer window to Gimnastic only managed a handful of matches. Scored one goal but I don't think he's really made an impact.

I think i read something about him being loaned out to getafe which would be great for him at least if they continue to be stable.

He was decent at Castilla last season but he is demonstrating that you are probably correct.

I think only Dos santos is a realistic move to be honest. Deco has said he wants to go to Italy or England but if Inter make a bid i think he will defo choose them. Ronaldinho is very likely to go to Milan so you shouldnt get your hopes up. I think their are other good moves City could make in Spain.

Truthfully, I wouldn't want Ronaldinho anywhere near my club. Deco I think can be recovered and I think he could be very successful in the EPL. Dos Santos is not going to help you right away even if you get him.

I think they will. its just negotiating tactics from milans side which i smart because its still early in the transfer markedet . Laporta has said today that ronnie will have to go so Milan did the right thing in waiting since Barca now cant demand as much.

Well, the history of verbal dribble aside, considering he's Argentinian with a couple of years stay in Spain, what's going to happen on the non-EU quota? I believe we have Robinho, Gago and Marcelo for the allocated three. Only possibility I can think of is that Robinho to get Spanish passport very soon...

Garay is reportedly going to get his this summer. also i think Gago has italian and that it is Diarra who is using one of the non-eu spots.

I think I would do that deal as well.

35m for an overrated drunk who has never been the best in the world (not even close) and looks like he'll never be and Milan are offering only 20m for a drunk who has been two times world player of the year and has shown he can be the best in the world?!

You mandriles have hyped him up so much that even the non-madrisitas are beleiving it, good work I wish the Barça press could do the same with the Barça players so we can get more money for them.

It turns out that Garay will be loaned out for next year back to Racing. So we are paying 10M + his wages this year and using Racing to train our player. A bit of gamble, or money well paid to face weakened Racing next season? (I bet Garay won't be allowed to play against RM.)

Well, it's a bit of a risk because it means that we'll probably have both Cannavaro and Metzelder back next season.

Dont know about that. If Pepe proves that he isnt injury phrone then it could fine because we always have Heinze aswell. If Metzelder recovers form at the euros aswell then we would be well of for the following season.

I think Cannavaro isn't too bad, though not sure about Metzelder and don't trust Heinze at all. Pepe isn't bad but is not really solid, and he is card prone even when he is not injured.

Having said that...

Ramos (Salgado), Pepe, Heize, Marcelo (+ Gago and Baptista/Guti) = 0
Salgado, Cannavaro, Metzelder, Torres (+ Diarra and Sneijder/Robben)= 4

Pepe has been immense when he has played. he has only played one or two bad games all season and that was in the start imo. he is a perfect defender who has no real flaw. Cannavaro has also had a good season. Heinzes problem is that he is inconsistent but he too had some good games at centre back. If Metzelder stays fit and has a good Euro then i wouldnt be to sad that Garay waits a bit. we should focus on other things then defence now.

The funniest thing is that they claim he has a great shot The guy has shooting phobia ffs!!! He won't even shoot when he's 6 meters away from goal.

They're just being lazy and copying MD's rumours linking him to us.

Pepe is not the problem in my opinion. For me, Cannavaro has been up and down; Heinze has been injureda lot and Metzelder has been injured and mediocre. That is where the problems are.
