I reallly don't remember seeing this happened since I started watching football but I could be wrong.

No....Barcelona beat us twice in 97/98 I think....2-3 in the Bernabeu when that c*nt Giovanni scored the winner and then 3-0 in the Camp Nou.

I think that was the last time.

Damn. I didn't remember those games happening in the same season. I guess that contributed to Heynkes getting sacked despite winning la setima.

Do you know when was the last time we did it though? It must have been in the 80s at the earliest, but I'm not sure if we pulled it off then either. I was too young at the time to remember.

Ok, the Dream Team did do it in 93/94; I thought so but I checked and it was 93/94 season. The last time we did it was 83/84 (I definitely don't remember that!) we won 2-1 both in Madrid and Barcelona.

Yeah man, I always read SPORT - good for at least one or two laughs every day. Mostly I just enjoy their crazy editorial writers. Everyone slags Roncero (who is an idiot) but Batlle, Casanovas, Mascaro - they are all nutjobs as well. And the cartoons as very clever!

Hey, everyone can make a mistake until you really see what a player has. Pavon had some excellent matches when he first broke into the team. I remind you that people were calling Giovani Dos Santos "world class" just a few months ago.

Cheers Jaime. So winning today would add some honor to the title. It would be an amazing achievement for Schuster to have, especially since it's his first season.

According to Marca, these are the lineups:

    Real Madrid

    ......................................Casillas.........................................

    .............Ramos...........Pepe........Torres............Heinze..........

    ...........Gago......................Guti......................Sneijder..............

    .................Robben.............Higuain........................Raul................

    Barcelona

    .................Henry....................Bojan...................Messi..............

    ........................Abidal................Marquez....................Xavi...............

    ..............Sylvinho............Thuram lol! ...........Puyol.............Zambrotta..

    ...............................................Valdes....................................

Too unlikely IMO. Can't see Torres playing as CB for the first time all season in such an important game and Rijkaard would be crazy to play Thuram.

I can see Higuain starting though given his recent form. I'm disappointed that Robinho seems destined to start on the bench again.

SPORT writers are much worse. They don't even know the meaning of the word "objectivity". Even during our golden era in the beginning of the decade, they would come up with bitter editorials claiming we played Cr@p football and fluked title wins. At least the Marca/AS writers praised Barcelona during your 2 seasons of greatness, and often complained that Madrid didn't play like them.

If that is the defence, it will be Ramos in the centre and Torres on the right, there is no doubt that their graphic is messed up.

Higuain has to start. After scoring the league-winning goal, he deserves to be applauded on to the pitch by the Bernabeu.

I feel bad for Robinho but Robben has been playing very well, you can't say that he is underserving of a place in the XI.

I said during the beginning of the decade. So when we won two league titles and 2 CLs playing the kind of football even the "dream team 2" would dream about. We also did it when La Liga was in much better shape and there were better teams in the CL as well.

And of course AS writers are biased, but compared to SPORT writers they are very objective. SPORT writers seem to have something up their ass that crawled there and died several years ago and they still haven't managed to get it out.

In my opinion, AS are the most biased towards their own team. Some of the fabricated stories about new signings or how Pavon is the next Beckenbaur are quite outrageous. But they hardly ever write negatively about Barcelona (except for Roncero). They even have one writer who covers Barcelona (Fabian Ortiz). SPORT, on the other hand, are a little closer to reality with respect to Barcelona (although they do fabricate a fair amount) but they are over-the-top with their anti-Madrid content. All of the "confidential" reports about unrest in the Madrid dressing room or whatever is blatant fabrication.

You obviously have selective memory or can't grasp abstract concepts like objectivity. AS is biased of course, but they do something SPORT never do. They actually PRAISE Barcelona when they do well.

Feel free to read their editorials from 2004-2006. Admittedly, they did talk a lot about the refereeing help Barcelona was getting, but they kept praising Barcelona's style of play. In interviews, they would even ask the likes of Luxemburgo "why can't we play like Barcelona?". They would also write articles acknowledging that Barcelona was the best team in the world.

Would Sport even do this? Of course not. They are a bunch bitter idiots who never acknowledge or give any credit to Real Madrid and any title we have ever won in our history has been because Barcelona underperformed in their eyes. They're just bitter cules who can't stand that Madrid is a much greater team, just like most fans.

Just got ahead of me there. Though I think Sport hype up Barcelona just as much as AS hypes us up, but the point about Sport never praising Madrid while AS can praise Barca remains. That's a bigger test for objevity, and the idiots at Sport are just to bitter to ever say anything good about us.

So you want Sport to write now "Why can't we play like Madriz?". I was talking more about the bias towards madriz than the "objectivity" you are talking about, that's why I pointed out an article where he wrote ridiculous stuff about the madriz canteranos.

AS don't have anti-Barça stuff? What about them going on about the "cagometro" all the time?

You madridistas are as biased and blinded as your press!

I never denied that they overhyped our players. You'd have to be an idiot not to notice that. And read back to my first post on the matter, I never said AS are objective, only that they're more objective than Sport for the reasons me and Jaime mentioned.

And no, they don't have to say exactly that. But SOME level of credit would be good. And I don't just mean this or last season. From as far as I remember, they have ALWAYS focused on finding something bad to say about us, even when we had great teams in the past.

But like Jaime, I don't really get worked up by what Sport says. I also read it to get good laughs (and they give me a lot). But I just find it sad that a newspaper can have as many bitter people as they have.
