Dont know about. Inter have been getting the fee lower then it used to and i think they were talking about 32 mil euros. also we would have Robinho money to use. the best buy would be Joaquin who would have the quality while still being relatively cheap at around 20 mil euros i gues. plus of those 3 guys he has shown that he wanted to be with the club.Jaime wrote:But think about how much we would have to pay for Quaresma vs. Cazorla. Joaquin + Carzola = 33M € (20 + 13)
If Chelsea offer 40m€, we'd easily cover the costs of signing them.

Erm...as far as I know 32m. euro is still more than 13m. euro. But anyhow, Inter may talk about 32 but Porto are obviously not listening to it.
I agree on Joaquin. It's clear Valencia don't want him and I guarantee we could get him for no more than 15m. euro; he's always wanted to come here and he was having a great season last year until Koeman came and ruined the whole club.

That's true, but I think that there's a big difference between both players. Quaresma has the potential to be a great player, while Cazorla will never be more than a very good player IMO. Quaresma is incredibly skilled, and we'll see how good he can be when he moves to a big team. There's still some question marks on his commitment and consistency.
But I think that we really need a great player now that Robinho is leaving and Ronaldo isn't coming. Cazorla would be more like another Solari, but I think we need something more. I would even prefer Joaquin over Cazorla.
And who knows? We could close the deal for Quaresma for somewhere between 30-35 million. Inter hasn't bid more than 25 million for him, which is why they've gotten shut down by Porto.

I don't think the difference is that big. Some of the dribbling's that Cazorla has done is out of this world. Maybe like Super Madrid said, Quaresma is better at crossing. But Quaresma hasn't done anything to think he will be that special or at least not special enough to justify that kind of price.
But I think that we really need a great player now that Robinho is leaving and Ronaldo isn't coming. Cazorla would be more like another Solari, but I think we need something more. I would even prefer Joaquin over Cazorla.
I think the great player that we need if Robinho goes, we already have and his name is Robben. The only question mark is his fitness...

There is no way Porto are going to let him go for 30; we pretty much guaranteed that when we paid 30 last year for Pepe. Thanks Pedja!

If we are going to continue with the 4-3-3 which would be best compared to the squad we have then Quaresma would be the best choice because he can work well on the left wing but also on the right while i think Joaquin is much better on the right then left.
Carzola fits in perfect for Villarreals 4-4-2 on the wing cutting in but we would have to switch to a 4-4-2 which perhaps doesnt use all the midfielders we have. It would be a waste if Snejider or VDV are forced to the flanks far from play.

I initally did it to make fun of Golsud because he hated Xavi and he was going to have a key role in the "New Barca"/"Dream Team III". but i just forgot to replace it with something.

But the mistake is thinking that it is a 4-3-3 with two wide attackers. It's not. It's one wide player + Ruud and Raul. So whoever we bring is probably not going to be first choice, hence it doesn't make any sense to pay upwards of 30m. for a player.

include that Robben will more then likely get injuried when we need him. otherwise i would agree.
of course Shuster could just flip the front 3 to fit in Joaquin and then have Raul more the left would give him the option of crossing at times. that would also mean that Ramos' ultra attacking role would switch over to Marcelo.

This is a fair point but we'll have to see...supposedly the RM doctors fixed the way he runs (which was causing all of his injuries).

He is only MVP because of the Barca hype. Snejider deserved it more but whatever. and Xavi is the heir of Guadiola so he will be untouchable. you hear that UNTOUCHABLE like Raul.only unlike the king Xavi sucks.golsud wrote:Super Madrid wrote:Dont try to act like you wouldnt give everything to have him out of the team. you know damn well that when it gets time to get dirty Xavi will disapear because he is a biaaatch.golsud wrote:Super Madrid wrote:Cant a madrid fan love Xavi?TM wrote:Supermadrid, whats with the avy?

Re: Robinho, if he wants to go let him go for as much as we can get. He has always been someone the cancers, Moron Calderon and Puta Mijatovic, have wanted to get rid of, as he is the sigining of Perez. (Ramos came close to be leaving once but I don't think the cancers will try now) I can see Chelsea with Scolari is more attractive to Robinho (or many, especially Brazilian, players) than for RM in current mould. Under the current regime, we have turned into Chelsea--a moneyed arrogant club that plays no frills football but only manage to "win" the domestic league (that no one else wants to win).
As for his replacement, Robben being one is a pure fantasy. 1. Robben will not stay fit. 2. He presumably has had own place in Schuster's plan (well that in itself is debatable ). On the other hand, Joaquin may not be too bad an idea, though I don't think he'd be real success but just a good player to have in our team as we don't have any RW.
It would be good if we could get Messi and/or Xavi.
A part of my thoughts is already forwarded fast to June/July 2010...

Comunicado oficial:
This is from the official website. So I guess it's "goodbye Robinho" for sure now.

Basically it says that Real Madrid will not keep a player in the club against his wishes, so the club will look for a way to end his contract if those are the player's wishes.

Last season he scored 15 goals and around 12 assists. The previous season his numbers were significantly lower, but that had a lot to do with Capello benching him for part of the season as well as making him play as a fullback at times.

In his three seasons with us he tallied the following:
05/06 8 (all in the Spanish League)
06/07 7 (6 in Spanish League & 1 in CL)
07/08 15 (11 in Spanish League & 4 in CL)
So 30 total in 122 matches.

Robinho wants out via a transfer, but Madrid are now talking about rescinding his contract! If Chelsea were a bit smarter, they'd know they can mess with Madrid and not really pay 37m euros.

Well, they're saying that there should be a "unilateral resolution" to his contract. I think that's just fancy words for selling him to another club.
