It shows where buying overated dutchies gets you though. Some people say Robben is the only decent one, but he's the biggest waste of money of them all!

He didn't do anything, for someone who is injured 8 months out of 12, he's got to make the most of it when he's fit. He might as well retire

I could name 5/6 others plays that should follow suit.
Heinze, Cannavaro, Midget, Fatty, Raul, Guti to begin with

Let me guess RVN, VDS and Kuijt.
Or are you counting Kuijy twice ?

It's always hard to beat a team if they're much fitter, stronger physically & have more positive aggression (difference was stunning). Still the first 2 goals shouldn't have counted. Certainly doesn't mean Real would have done any better, but could have been a different match.

Liverpool could have been 4 up before they even scored. I really don't think the match would have been different.

It's always hardest to score the first goal. Those 3rd & 4th were relatively easy, because they were already 2-0 up. I would loved to have seen Pool score themselves, because before they were gifted the goals, they only wasted chances.

Advocating PGD I see
It's a sad sight to see Real Madrid on it's knees. They never recovered did from the loss of Woodgate
No, otherwise I would have mentioned Keane! The best player of the EPL showed it in the 4-0 against Boro..but Kuyt(PGD and vision and skill) showed it with a 4-0 against Madrid...
Now im sure you will say Spurs>Boro>Pool>Madrid...but still!
You cant have a team in cups without PGD, thats for sure!
Kuyt is just amazing!
That's just unhealthy.

This is really one of the worst nights of my life. I have tears of anger right now, I just can't believe what I just witnessed. I have never seen a Real Madrid team so impotent in the CL before. There's no point in even mentioning the refereing, because we got absolutely raped in every sense of the word. Every player tonight besides Casillas, Lass and Marcelo should be ashamed of representing Real Madrid tonight.
I just can't find the words to explain how I'm feeling right now. This team is an embarassment to the name of Real Madrid, but also to La Liga. How can the 2-time La Liga champions be outplayed like that in the CL? There's really so little to say about tonight's game. Liverpool were great and they made us look like a second rate team, which we probably are at the moment.

Man of the match BY FAR! without him it could've been Liverpool 8-0 Real Madrid at the very least.

Feel for ya, mate. Real need a top top coach, who knows how to win and create a winning mentality at the club.
Its sad for everyone to see Real like this. It shouldn't be like this.

We need players. Juande isn't a bad manager but what can you do when all you have is the likes of Guti or Sneijder o Raul. They are not good enough. End of.

what a lovely night, I wont bother bumping all the negative remarks and predictions Madrid fans made about us, that would be cruel. Not as cruel as the penalty which I can only assume was pre-emptive.
I thought Babel was starting to show flashes of what we like about him, if only he had a left foot he would be some player. I don't know if the atmosphere came across on television but it really was unbelievable. exhausting.
Can anyone explain why Mascherano was booked? He misses the next game and no one has been able to tell me what happened.

well luckily we have wonderkid Jay Spearing ready to step in for him. What a cameo! And what an unusual looking person. Scott, I think we may have found you a wing man.

Yeah from the highlights on ITV Spearing looked good. Lots of energy and direct too. Liked his pass out to his right when he was getting closed down. Was a great pass given the pressure he was under.
Do people believe he will make it at Liverpool? Has he stood out for the youths/reserves? Hope he makes it. Nice to see local lad - I assume? - playing for his team.
Cheers

You are a gracious winner indeed.
Mascherano shouldn't have been booked. The foul was committed by Xabi Alonso. He would not shut up though so perhaps he stepped over the line with some of his comments.

Short answer is no, he's what? 4 feet tall?
Rafa seems to like him as he's been on the bench for several games this season and Rafa gave him a few minutes against PSV you may remember, although we don't have the biggest squad so read into that what you will. I can't see him ever being a first team regular but he was/is a star of our youth team certainly, believe it or not he played a lot of games in central defence!
His tackling, or at least the timing of his tackling is great, not sure how better to explain it as he's not as physically blessed as Sissoko or Plessis but is a much better natural DM, his passing is great too and he is versatile, but he's not any better than Guthrie or Potter, both of who Rafa gave cameos to and let go.
Current star of our youth setup is a Finn called Lauri Dalla Valle. Stephen Darby is the best of the English lads and would have had his chance in recent weeks if he hadn't unfortunately gotten injured.

ouch. I kinds feel for some of the RM players and fans.
Casillas, if you really can't stand it anymore there, come to us.
it was a little embarrassing to witness the La Liga champions being so outplayed. Then again, Spanish clubs just don't have any consistency from one year to the next.

Its amazing how a team can consistently spend more than any other team in Europe and still be shit
