I don't think you can say it was an awesome game. The first half was dour at best. But I thought the movement by brasil was much better in the second half and of course the perfect example of this is the second goal. Nobody was making this kind of run in the first half.

On looking at the replay of the Maicon goal I think maybe he did mean it. Both of his feet were off the ground at the time of the shot. If he did then that is really impressive stuff.

I've had Brazil as favourites for a long time but I'd rather they had someone else up front than that useless piece of shit.

What game were you watching, the first half was shit.

As usual with this Brazil team, they struggle against teams that park the bus.

up to now, considering only the big 8:

    germany > argentina > holland > brazil = england = italy = france

the optimistic will say it's better to start slow than peak too early, in a moment when you can still solve possible problems, that brazil is a counter-atacking team that playes better against the big ones cause they offer space.

in a way, it's true. but it's reminding me of 1990, and that story didn't end very well.

you're mistaken, blut. they cared a lot more than you think. they were really trapped by the great n korea. but, indeed, this brazil has always been sttrugling against poor, defensive opposition.

have a look at the games against ireland away (1-0), bolivia at home (0-0), colombia at home (0-0), venezuela at home (0-0), and many other draws and meager wins against park-the-bus teams.

on the other hand, 2 good wins against argentina, 2 good wins against italy, 6-2 against Portugal A at home.

I think going out in the group stages is a real possibility, and coming 2nd to face spain even more. it would be an interesting game.

Oh, come on now. Brazil will beat Portugal. They may struggle against the very robust IC team though, but they will win their group.

If nothing works, you can always rely on your individual players to create something out of nothing. It's not a perfect team, but once it starts to roll, it will be difficult to stop. Brazil definitely are one of the big favourites this year, for good reason.

Wasn't too impressed today but you know that they can up their game if necessary.

Auful result. Now a draw against Brazil will be great for Ivory Coast. Probably Brazil will have their back against the wall in the last round. Win or go home against Portugal. I"m far away from being sure that Brazil will beat IC or Portugal. Brazil have a lot of problems against defensive opposition. Their main strenght are counter attack and set pieces.

I'm very disapointed at Brasil, they played really slow, not what i was expecting. Coreans run alot, are well organized but after minute 65 they were death. Brasil didn't finish them and let them get back in the game.
Only good thing about it is they won the match.

One thinh i did notice even in the first match, with some IC players was their phisical problems near the end of the match. I saw it again with NK. Let's see how will they recover for the next match.

As i said before, i'm disapointed at Brasil for playing somehow lazy, and at Portugal for playing too defensive.
Deco said after the game that the type of game we tryed is not the one to fit us, i agree with him. CQ played him on the right in the second half. That shows hos stupid his tactics were, and how stupid it was the decision he took for Nani's replacement.
Coentrao is saying he didn't attack more because the priority was the defense. Doh
It shows the quality of CQ as a coach.

I was hoping for a place in the top 4, i'll be happy if we get past the group stage now.

Juli, this Brazil are today's Italy (plus pace). They only do as much as is necessary. I am serious, you will win your group and gain momentum the longer you are in the tournament.

blut, we're not used to being italy. I can tell you it's not very comfortable when you are new to it.

Heh? Not even on my heavy drinking, drug fueled past i could have been so optimistic that this Portugal team with CQ on the helm would ever get anywhere as far as last 16.

WTF was P Ferreira doing on the field for 90 minutes. Was skimmed time and time again. Deco shite on the 1st half, and Liedson a lonesome player for 90 minutes.

We where shite, because CQ has regressed Portugal 20 years. We neither attack or know how to defend.

I can see Brazil raping all over IC, for the simple reason that they will attack, they will be quick on middle of the park, and will tear their defense to shreds.

If we play like this against NK it will be 1966 all over again. But we will not score 5 goals. We will just suffer 3
