Giroud is a sensational striker, not too different from Gomez though.

Robben got a new contract until 2015.

Still hope that Müller will be back to his top form soon.

Even at his best, he is a step too slow. Schweinsteiger will have to do a hell of a job in front of central defense in the CL final.

The question apart from the precise lineup of the back four is still then whether to go gung-ho with Kroos-Basti on the 6er.

If this happens it could be the biggest Generalprobe imaginable for the Euro and the best combination there bounce

i am not a fan of this, for this we lack the 3rd complete midfielder, i think a 2nd striker like müller wouldn`t help us to have the dominance in the middle of the park, i expect chelsea defensive, but not as defensive as against barca, only then i would play a müller

    i would play this midfield

The Bayern munchkins are - according to sources here in the UK - feeling sehr heisse for a bit of Leighton Baines:

    http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/898337-leighton-baines-to-choose-between-manchester-united-and-bayern-munich

Odd given the emergence of Alaba.

However, he's certainly better than Contento, and I guess most clubs look for 2 top class players in each position. Although they could move Phil Lamb there too if feeling a little red faced and exposed.

Doubt it'll happen, but if Baines were to move from Everton, would be great seeing him at Bayern and not Man United. Who, as we all know, as subhuman scum

baines would be a very good signing

bayern made a serious offer in the winter break 2010, but baines said no

don`t think it will happen, would give us more options, alaba could then play in CM or replace ribery when he is injured or needs a break

Ironically he would be a better fit for the national team than Bayern with the emergence of Alaba and the disaster waiting to happen that is the side that Lahm doesn't play on... scratch Embarassed

Can Baines be repatriated as a German, is that what you is saying?

It wasn't enough raping Poland for all it's pitiful resources, now you want to do the same to us?

Baines is one of the very few players left in World football fully committed to cultivating a 70's style haircut.

So what could a better fit than moving to a country where 70's hairstyles are lauded even more highly than David Hasselhoff's illuminescent leather jacket?

Metro is an extremely shit source. Also, based on what I've heard I doubt that Baines would be interested in playing abroad. Big move to top Premier League club - yes, going abroad - don't think so. Despite his technical skills and high IQ making him a good candidate to play in Spain, Italy or Germany.

You do know he was Wigan's best player despite being in his teens and helping them get promoted and then stay in the Premier League right?

A few years ago he was also helping England's u21's beat Germany:

IMO, he's the best allround left back in the country considering what he can do going forward as well. He assists / goals count for a defender is ridiculously impressive.

    Anyway, onto more serious matters:

Also another CM and LB for depth.

i think this team will get plenty of opportunities to reach a final in the coming years

still would love to see an götze/özil type in our squad (to win the league) and another class forward

contento showed that he has potential (was unlucky that he was injured when lahm switched the side, so alaba took his chance), alaba could then also play in midfield, adds already more depth

maybe we should bid for hazard, we need more players which can break down defensive sides in the league

for europe our midfield is good enough Biggrin

This was the first time I saw a German in PK's with a lot of pressure on his shoulders. In the past they were always ahead in PK's that there was little pressure on the PK takers #4 and #5.

THIS TIME, PK taker #5 (Schweinsteiger...the so called "sure money on PK's") totally shit his pants when it was squeaky bum time.

The myth has been crushed. The Dutchies will have seen that the Germans can miss from PK's even in their own house.

I feel for Bayern fans. This is the second time I've seen them getting mugged in the Champions League Final by utterly inferior teams, first in '99 and yesterday. Hug
