Michael Laudrup's future at Swansea in doubt as Welsh club refuse to deal with manager's agent
It is understood Swansea are angry at the role Tutumlu has played in the breakdown in relations between Laudrup and chairman Huw Jenkins over the club’s transfer policy.
Although Jenkins and the Swansea board have worked closely with Tutumlu during Laudrup’s first season at the Liberty Stadium, there have been major issues between the two parties in recent weeks.
It led to Laudrup’s claim last week that the responsibility for not making significant additions to last season’s squad lay with the Premier League club and not the manager.
Now Jenkins is understood to have told Tutumlu he will not deal with him any more over transfers, in or out of the Liberty Stadium.
A source at Swansea suggested the club believed Tutumlu had attempted to recruit players behind the board’s back since the end of the season in May.
The source also confirmed that the club had again made clear the transfer policy and wanted to continue working closely with the manager in an attempt to strengthen the squad, in particular by signing at least two new strikers.
However, what they will not do from now on is include Tutumlu in any negotiations with potential targets.
The move is likely to lead to an uneasy truce and Laudrup could yet decide to take up one of a number of opportunities that he has been offered in recent weeks.
Laudrup has worked closely with Tutumlu for the past 20 years, since the Dane was a Barcelona player, but now finds himself in a testing situation whereby he might have to choose between his adviser and continuing in his current role at the Liberty Stadium.
Talks between Jenkins and Laudrup are still planned for this week with the Dane having drawn up a list of transfer targets who he believes will help the club consolidate on last season’s top-10 finish.
Those talks are likely to take place on the phone and not at the Liberty Stadium as was first believed.
Laudrup has been linked with half a dozen European clubs in recent weeks, including Roma, Fenerbahce, Paris St-Germain and Everton.
The 48-year-old, who in March signed an extension to his initial contract, has maintained that he wants to remain at Swansea.
Swansea have made one signing during the close season. Jose Canas has joined on a two-year deal from Real Betis.
Other targets are believed to include Wigan’s Aroune Koné, West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie and Romelu Lukaku, who is now poised to remain at Chelsea under new manager Jose Mourinho.

Apparently Laudrup is now negotiating with PSG.....which would leave Ancelotti free (well, not exactly) to negotiate with RM.

This would be a great move for Laudrup though and a great opportunity although the presence of Ibrahimovic might be problematic for Laudrup's style of football because of his static nature although I suppose he resembles Michu in some ways.

Now Morata is threatning to leave if we bring in another striker.
3 goals at U-21 level and he is all hot suddenly. Truth is that he hasn't shown much sign of being a big enough talent for us to give him a prominent role. He has a lot of heart and is hard working which I respect but aside from that goal against Germany I can't remember him ever doing anything particularly spectacular or showing signs of great promise. He should be loaned out because everybody would benefit from this. If Jese is promoted Morata would be third striker which isn't good enough for him apparently.

Just seen across twitter that Chelsea have done a deal with Napoli. Who knows if it is true or not but it would be just like Jose to f*ck us over.

Threatening to leave? I assume the quotes you are refering to are from the interview he did with AS (the day after he scored against Russia...BEFORE he was "all hot suddenly"). The only thing he said was that if the new manager buys a couple of new strikers it would be difficult for him to have minutes (don't forget he has a clause in his last contract that he can't go back to play for Castilla full time). Then he said if he had to leave he would like to try playing abroad.

And we deserve it. Our main problem sportingwise was the complete failure of our strikers and the club even set out to have this as a priority going so far as to say that they wanted to buy 2 strikers. At that time Chelsea was still incapable of buying because they were waiting for Mourinho and Man City was inactive. Now Chelsea can make deals and they have the attraction of Mourinho. Re: the striker - I think you are right the Bale transfer has become Florentino's obsession and it is distracting from the actual pressing needs as far as the squad is done. Of course Florentino would argue that Bale is a "strategic signing" and that the striker signing should be left to the manager. But ok here is the biggest issue of all: if Florentino was going to part ways with Jose he should have had a replacement ready to present the next day. That way new manager + Zidane can get moving on it rather than dicking around for two weeks with no direction.
re: Morata - I don't know where that quote is from but it is not translate well. I listened to the actual interview and he doesn't say the bit about "thinking about what's best for me and consider leaving the club" all he says is that if more strikers come in it will be difficult for him to find minutes. Then on to the last bit where he says if he has to leave (i.e. that the new manager does not want him) he would like to go abroad. This is hardly another case like Mata.

Nothing against Madrid or it's supporters per se, but it's rather fun to hear of players turning them down, given the almost stalkerish way they pursuit and brain wash their targets, like the weird rich old balding man with the hairpiece and jewelry in the bar, eyeing up the younger ladies and who never takes no for an answer.
Re Bale, I'm certain - as long as AVB stays (rumours abound he's had his head turned by PSG's millions, although quite sure he knows it's a risk after just one season at a club that supported him 100% after his Chelsea fiasco) - he will not go this summer. He has made it quite clear how happy he is playing at the club under AVB, he gets far more freedom of expression than he would at Madrid.

I haven't heard about any serious deal with Lewa so I have my doubts about the truth of the story. With regards to Bale it seems the club is mixed on what to do. Perez obviously wants him and he tends to get what he wants or at least pursue it aggressively. But I hope that the apparent inaction could be down to sensible people who get we need a striker.
In both cases I would be more than happy for the players to reject the club. Lewa is a worse version of Cavani and Bala is a luxury player who doesn't really solve any problem per se. In fact I would rather Bale come out and reject us. That way Perez can let the smart people get the players we need until next year of course. If Di Maria doesn't have a great season and Bale doesn't get sold this transfer window Perez will be back big time next season.

True but for whatever reason I don't quite trust Lewa but that might just be irrational. Either way I'm happy as long as have a box striker in the squad but I would prefer if it was Cavani.

The reason it annoys other clubs is that it's a blatant form of tapping up. If Real and its staff and players had any respect for little old Spurs then they would conduct this pursuit privately. It's like the football version of Jerry Springer, no one really wants to see this stuff occurring in public. There is no doubt it's been a successful way for Real and barca to turn heads and try to engineer moves at lower prices, but it shows a level of arrogance and contempt for the other party. We supposedly have a partnership with Real, why would they need to go down this well worn route? If/when Bale is ready to leave they will get first pick. What they are doing collectively as a club is proving what a load of bullshit this partnership is, all about their own interest, because right now the last thing Spurs need is this daily frenzy over Bale's future, especially when offering him an improved contract.

I think you're giving this way too much credit. In the end if Bale wants to move then he will move. I highly doubt that players talking in the media is going to sway him one way or the other. The only way this could work is if they called him up privately and even then I have might doubts. If there is a dirty tactic Madrid has used through the years it is having third parties talk with the agent and the player to convince him to put pressure on the club or make a public annoucement so the dealings become easier but I haven't seen this happening in this case and I don't expect it to either.

We're in agreement - I'm pointing out it's an abrasive unnecessary tactic, Real have enough of a lure without this David Blane mind games shit. Bale will choose to go not based on these public quotes but what goes on behind the scenes. It's like big Companies who advertise how much better they are than their competition - that advert where Bing saying they're better than Google. There is something desperate and self congratulatory about it. Real DONT NEED TO DO THIS, that is the point! The only result of this is it feeds the papers everyday and is plain old annoying from a Spurs fan and club perspective. I want Bale to sign for Real if he is to go, but each time someone opens their mouth in Madrid, it becomes less appealing.
