Why do Fiorentina want him to sign a new deal? From what I have read he has still a contract until 2010...

Whoever does the negotiation for Inter needs to be sacked.... we easily do the worst financial transactions, especially when it comes to sales!

I know Mancio wanted to get rid of him, and he had a poor injury ridden season, but surely we could have gotten more than £5M!!

Anyways, its not my money.... it probably means that Inter are confident about Chivu (coz he can play LB).... so between him, Zanetti, Maxwell and Burdisso, we should have the LB covered....

I think that's a good move for Zaragoza. Olivera is a good player. Also amazed at Gross only went for £5 million. I thought he was one of the best players at the WC.

i know, Inter bought him for 4 million BEFORE the WC. And now they sell him for a measly 5 million and they also need a new LB in addition to a CM and RW.

    Strange....

He could do with a move IMO - he's doubtful to get too many chances at Fiorentina - he's hardly going to guarantee them a CL spot next season.

I reckon Bojinov would be a success in the bundesliga

According to planetfootball.com the viola have put him up for sale after he refused a new contract, Parma are thought to be interested if they miss out on signing Rossi.

From what I hear, Milan are preparing a £8M bid for Rossi... that would be a smart move, young Rossi is talented and could learn a lot under the tutelage of Kaka

I think he will do very well, as Milan dont have a player like him (we have too many unfortunately) he will play better (add more to the team) than Inzaghi and will score more than Gilardino.

I hope he fulfils his potential at Milan and training/playing with a legendary striker like Ronaldo, he should do.

I am sorry blue, but if the deal happens Milan will be my favourite team in Italy. Forza Rossi, Forza Milan!!

Enjoy relegation battling at Catania Christian Ale

Catania only had to battle relegation because they were deprived of their supporters as a result of the riot. If that hadn't happened Catania would probably not have suffered such a disastrous loss of form and would probably have been mid-table at worst and possibly qualified for Europe. They won't face that next season. They could surprise many people.

Bovo has signed for Genoa, he is expected to be joined by Cacapa who is a free transfer after leaving Lyon.

Also they have signd Papa Waigo ! He is ace, i cant wait to see how he does in Serie A after banging them in, in Serie B.

Genoa are starting to look good.

He didn't get enuf chances at Inter to prove himself.... but before that, he was very good for Palermo, and even at the olympics for the argies... a good attacking midfielder, neat passing ability... the only doubt is whether he can do this at the highest level playing for a top team

I haven't seen him play as much as you did, but whenever I saw him play, I thought he had quality enough to be part of a topteam (certainly for their bench).

Hope he does well in the Ukrain, always liked Lucarelli for his allegiance to his club/fans.

Lucarelli is 32 now, or thereabouts, so a 3 million euros a season contract must be very tempting.

Italy has lost 3 strikers this season: Toni, Lucarelli, and Bianchi. The loss of Bianchi saddens me the most because Toni and Lucarelli are both 30+ and nearing the end of their careers.

On the upside, Miccoli, Tavano, Lupoli and possibly Giuseppe Rossi have come back to Calcio. So all is not doom and gloom. With Bianchi, it was just a case of Napoli not wanting him fervently enough. I really don't know if he'll do well at City.

Forza, so whats the state with Milan Transfers. While Other big clubs have started their activities, Milan's officials seem to have only two jobs in hand, confirm and deny interest in Ronnnie and Eto'o and stating that Kaka will stay on.

So apart from Olivieira out, are there other players coming in?
You guys could surely do with a defender and a midfielder and another striker to replace Oliviera.
