Drogba has the penalty saved by Gomes! What an entertaining game this has been, but it's a poor effort from Drogba.

That'll be the last time Drogba takes a penalty ahead of Lampard methinks. Gomes is one lucky fucker (though he still cost them the win).

you simply do not get games like this in the Bundesliga
This result will reverberate all over the world, whereas no one outside Germany will be able to name more than 4 Bundesliga sides.
Tottenham are not as invincible as people think, if Chelsea can go there and get a point then anyone can.
Why wasn't Gomes sent off?
Why didn't Lampard take the pen?
Is Marouane Chamakh a queer?

What about Pavlyuchenko? His goal was pretty good, even if "shit English" Terry fell asleep for it.

Good finish no doubt. But genuinely awful defending..they just let him stroll past.
I havent been slagging him off for months really anyway, ive been saying he should start. He just isnt as good as some say.

How do the commentators call this a brilliant match? Chelsea were inane before they brought Drogba to play hoof ball. Spurs played with pace and looked to counterattack as neither Chelsea wingers tracked back. There was no genuine magic or tactical outplay. Simply lazy players and silly errors.. And Chelsea now have loser mentality. Remember that they have managed to stay at top with whatever Jose instilled in them..Now they look like the aging AC Milan side that Carlo managed in his last few seasons there..

Some really overrate him. SOME... would have us believe that the weaknesses he showed he first came to England have disappeared totally.

As much as I"m enjoying the entertaining nature of most of our games this season, it would be lovely to see us do a United and just grind out a shitty 1-0. Or actually just keep a clean sheet would be quite nice.
Still, a 1-1 against Chelsea - happy with that. EVEN though SOME are jumping on the bandwagon and suggesting Chelsea are in some sort of freefall crisis. Those SAME people were asking for it to be done with in September and for someone to hand the title to Chelsea to save us all the bother.
I'll wager Chelsea will get at least one win against either United or Arsenal and by beginning of February back in contention both in the league and in Europe.
And I've ALWAYS said, right from the beginning - Gomes is a quality shot stopper (the Drogba goal was a rare anomaly), but fucking hell he's erratic with his decision making. Unless he is the recipient of a brain transplant for Christmas, it will never change - today encapsulates just how frustrating he is. Zero to zero to hero in the space of 90 minutes.
Tchuss!

some might say you can concede as many penalties as you like provided you save them and don't get sent off. This strategy of conceding a penalty resulted in quite a nice Spurs counter attack.
Both teams, fans and managers will be happy with the result. Chelsea will count a point away against one of the Nouveau de Gaulle as a positive result, particularly given their form and being behind for much of the game. Tottenham wont see Chelsea as their equal just yet so will be happy with a point against the champions, particularly when you throw a late penalty save into the mix.

By the way, what was the Snood count in the game today?
they should be banner from all PL matches. The best thing Fergle has ever done.
Watching queers like Chamakh and Nasri ballet dancing around an undersoil heated pitch with neck scarves on makes me sick

I do. And you should too, because they provide a tangible, physical example of the innate pansy attitude of so many players in the league. This isn't Moscow in January.
Is it any wonder so many players dive and feign injury when they now feel it necessary to wear a "fashionable" onpitch neckscarf in an English winter? The two behaviours are intrinsically linked, like having dreadlocks is a step away from smoking crack.
Think about it - Chamakh has won more penalties this season than any other player. And was also the first one to start wearing this item around the end of August. and is almost certainly a queer. It's no coincidence

Exactly Kimbo bro! My ca$h says that the people who are bothered with Johnny Foreigners wearing scarves are closet homosexuals. Just like all them people who beat the shit out of gays, they're really homos themselves. What was that movie about the military guy who hated gays, and was a flamer himself? "American Beauty"?
Who gives a shit really! If you're secured with your heterosexuality, it shouldn't bother you at all.

Jesus Christ - I thought, if anyone on here could see the idiocy of an item of clothing resembling a polo neck being worn by footballers when it isn't even January, it would be you.
It's not about advocating hard, alpha male leg breaking morons like De Jong or Cattermole. It's about denouncing another USELESS FASHION trend in football, alongside pink boots and hairbands. None of it is necessary. Football pitches aren't the catwalk FFS.

We all now Nasri had a slight neck strain
Not massively sure that it matters really.
