I wouldn't be totally surprised to see Gerrard on the right, Lennon on the left and Dyer in behind Rooney.

However i agree with Tweeds line-up.

I'm delighted Carson is included, If we're being honest, why not give him a start? I know he wont be started but he is a class keeper and he is a better shot stopper than Robinson IMO

throw rio or terry in at left back for once instead of the best defender in carragher. the defence should be built around carragher for this game

mc'claren shifted flumps to the left in the previous game so if he is going to play him hopefully he sticks with it for this

Hes had a decent season but he's far from international class.

Foster has had a much better season that him anyhow, so if anyone's given a chance it should be him.

Mclaren won't want to cause controvery though so he'll stick with SHITFACE

Owen Hargreaves syndrome. Play someone out of position and slate his average performances. Play him in his correct position all of a sudden he's England's saviour. What the fuck is Philip Neville doing in the squad? He is woeful in every position. Stephen Warnock has been impressive for Blackburn and Barry, Baines and Taylor shit all over Neville from a skyscraper.

I'm very surprised that Baines wasn't picked - especially because of his performances earlier in the season pre-injury

This FUCKWIT has NEVER even been first choice left back at club level. Only a CUNTING FOOL would consider him international class.

Would he even get near another top international squad? Any other country would call up either a promising youngster or at the very least a journeyman specialist. Neville is neither, his most impressive (if such a word could be used) performance has been as a destroying midfielder, the DM 1 in a 4-1-4-1

As a left back though -

    Phil Neville > Carragher.

Carragher never moves 10 yards from the corner flag. Rolling Eyes

Can't we just drop Defoe and play with 5 in midfield?

Rooney can't play as a lone striker - he drops deep far too often.

We need someone that will force the defence deep to free up space for players like Rooney, Gerrard, Lamoard and Lennon to play in.

Ronaldo, Rooney and Giggs were superb in a front 3 in 2005, because Ronaldo and Giggs supported him properly. Not like Sven who tried to do it with J Cole and Beckham who don't have the pace.

Replace Ronaldo and Giggs with Lennon and Dyer.

If you want to do that then you either need to play a Barcelona style of football or play with a target man - which Rooney isn't
