It quite blatently isn't an arguement about money, rather, envious eyes and blatent jealousy because YOUR league doesn't have the money...

There are far too many good players to all want to play in one league espeically when the weather and culture in Spain and Italy play a role in transfers, so money will never create one ultimate league.

Your speaking out of your anal valve...

This is what i am jelous about:

    - World Cup 2006 - congrats
    - CL 2006/7 - congrats
    - European Golden Boots 2005/6 and 2006/7congrats
    - Player of the year 2006/7 - in what....
    - kaka will prob get 2007/8 player of the year (playing for Milan) pure speculation, for all you know Silvestre could win it
    - lorens team of the year 2006 (Italy) means zilch to me bud
    - An Italian coach basically winning la Liga with Real Madrid (not to mention Italian coaches winning all other major titles apart from EPL) with an Englishman who dragged his team over the finish line
    - Italy has the best youth, along with Portugal and Argentinaagain pure speculation

cannavaro won player of the year, both the ballon dor and fifa player of the yr

Speculation or not, the potential is there ... Look at it this way, remember the Milan V Man u game .. that was the game in which was meant to settle the debate about who was the best player of the yr, and im afraid kaka finished miles ahead

I don't recall this, maybe in telly tubby land (where you appear to be)

Apart from Man Utd having a ravished defence,(kinda helping Kaka out a little there) i didn't see Kaka finish miles ahead, Rooney banged in two quality goals.. and if you ask me who was the most important player on the park those nights it would have to be Gattuso...

wow you are a dumb f@ck .... madrid normally has more money than any one else, explain to me why they have nearly gone broke before (and the govt stepped in so it wouldn’t happen)

ill give you an answer ... because you win nothing!!!!!!!!

when you dont win, and spend big, you lose money dumb f@ck, not to mention the owners getting sick of losing and bailing out, leavening the club in even more fucking trouble

    seriously your a dumb c**t

    lol!

The almost went broke for the very reasons i've articulated, poor managment, i.e spending money they don't have...

Thank god you don't run the economy, of for that matter any business, you don't have your own bank account do you? i'd close it if i were you, the concept of cash flow is quite obviously a step too far!

ok dumb f@ck .. how do you suppose you make money if you dont win anything????????????

care to explain why the investors stepped away from West ham last season???? beachside they were loosing every fucking game

@ Deano i'll leave this one in your court Wink

business lesson - don't spend money you're not guranteed to get back... there will be a fixed income i.e TV revenue, Season tickets, projected ticket sales etc, you don't spend 'hopeing' you are going to win the Champions League. Doh

The Italian spending was fuelled by speculation mcuh like Leeds'.

the present EPL investment is being funded by private finances and revenue (tickets, merchandise and TV).

I can't see any of the teams that are spending in the EPL at present going into any sort of debt

The EPL is not overrated, last season it was the best league. This season I expect la liga to catch up, Seri A is still behind. I know you will talk about Milan being European champions, but this does not reflect the strength of a league. For example in 2004, a French and a Portuguese club contested the CL final, no one claimed these were the top 2 leagues in the world.

Regarding Rossi, he is one of my fave players and I thought he would go on to become a united legend. He is not as good as Rooney, he is only a year younger than him and hasnt really done anything of note yet (apart from save Parma from relegation).

Rooney at the age of 16 scored the goal of the season to beat the champions of England and break there 35 plus unbeaten run.

Rooney at the age of 18, was the star player of the European championships scoring 4 goals and winning a penalty against France. Rooney becomes the most expensive teenager ever and scores a hat trick on his CL debut.

Rossi has a long way to go, before he can be compared to Rooney.

Ps Rossi is awesome and will become a superstar and be the star of the Italian national team. However Rooney already is.

    man f@ck off

its so poor, yet each Italian player who won the WC 06 played in italy??

Italian coaches won all major tournaments over the past 2 yrs, apart from EPL

    player of the yr??

Not to mention this was considered a really bad time in Italian football

don forget Inter were unlucky to to beat Valencia 4 or 5-0, the goals just didn’t want to go in

keep on talking up rooney ..... rooney had one good yr, and has done f@ck all for the past 3 yrs

reason why rossi cant make it into the national team, because player like luca toni are infornt of him, who scored 31 goals in 05-06 … England has a bunch of $h!t kickers for strikers, hence why rooney is selected.

rooney is $h!t and thats the end of it

rossi will be come a far greater player than rooney the pig

scores a hatrick in CL, then dont score again for 2 yrs Embarassed

look at it this way .. rooney and ronaldo are the same age, yet Ronaldo is the best player in the epl, while rooney is his shadow ... keep blowing your load over an overrated pig

when rooney single handedly wins the EPl (like ronaldo) Cl (Like kaka) or a world cup, then tell me how good he is, until then i don’t want to here your $h!t about how he had one good season 3 yrs ago

    lol!

You're actually quite funny, until I remember you're actually being serious.

    Inter should have won by 5, but didnt even win the game, I think one of us is exaggerating slightly. If you want to talk about being unlucky;

    - how about man utd, playing Milan without the first choice defence,
with a tired team who were chasing the treble and didnt have fortune of
resting the whole team before both ties.

    - How about Australians being cheated out of the WC, or France
completely outplaying Italy and still losing.

All the above is what you would call unlucky, my over zealous and blinkered friend.

The great Luca Toni who has score less goals in International competitions and 7 less CL goals than Rooney, despite being 9 years older than him Laugh

I am a Manchester United fan and I am 95% certain I have watched Rossi, Ronaldo and Rooney play more games than you have.

Ronaldo and Rooney are as good as each other, although Rooneys game is way more complete than Ronaldo. So in that respect, if Ronaldo was to complete his game, he would probably go on to become the better player.

Firstly Ronaldo is 22 and Rooney is 21 and secondly you need to learn the difference between playing better and actually being better, before you start spouting bile, based on bias and supposition.

Also it shows how rubbish Italian football is when an overrated pig can score 4 goals past the two best CL Italian teams.Laugh

Rooney is 21 years old, he scored 24 goals last season for a championship winning team that came close to winning the treble (ie it was still possible in May).

I am pretty certain that you couldnt name 21 year old who has done as much as him!

Well not really - their owner is a billionnaire and is using his personal funds to finance the transfers.

If he left then a settlement with the club would have to be agreed and they would come out of that agreement with no debt

No I wasn't alive, but there is such a thing as a "secondary source" which means one doesn't have to have directly witnessed an event to have an opinion about it.

As such, I know that Il Duce himself made sure that Italy won the 1934 WC on their own soil for propaganda purposes. It was scandalous really. The fact that other WCs have been rigged is more or less irrelevant since we are not talking about the fact that the 1954 German team were on drugs or whatever.

Mass murders ? As far as I'm aware we're actually talking about football, not British military campaigns of the early 20th century. Or indeed the questionable acts of the Italian military both in Abyssinia prior to WW2 and in WW2 itself.

The Germans did it most blatantly though. The team doctor admitted giving injections before the final (though he claimed it was vitamin C), several German players contracted jaundice after the game - in fact 8 of the 11 had fallen ill before the end of the season. Additionally, most of them ended up in rest homes at a far younger age than usual.

Of course, the main problem is that Hungary destroyed Germany in the groups, then Germany mysteriously improved drastically.

Personally, I don't think any team that took drugs to win can be classed as having won "by fair means", regardless of whether everyone else was doping or not. Same reason Ben Johnson doesn't count as a 100m champion.

Anyway, lots of WCs have been won dubiously, '54 was just the first that came to mind. Could have gone for '66 or '78 I suppose.

I am aslo quite sure a some one by the name of MESSI has won the Cl and La liga

so go shove that one up your fat ass

Guivarch and Kleberson have World cup medals, are they the best players in the world.

Ronaldo (Brazil) is one of the greatest players of the past 20 years, so its no surprise that he is behind him.

Messi didnt play mant games when they won the league and only played one CL K.O game. Last season he played more games and they didnt win anything. So it can be said that Barca were more successful without him.

Messi has never played a full season in his life, he has the potential to be WPOTY, but he hasnt done enough yet to claim, he is better than Rooney.

No one claimed Rooney was the best player in the world, but at the age of 21, there arent many other players who have done as much as he has. In fact apart from Brazil Ronaldo, I cant think of anyone. If you do please let me know.

There isnt an Italian player or player in Seri A under the age of 24 that is as good as him or proved it on the biggest stage.

Is this the same guy from the under 21 tournament?

Very similar ways of writing and posting and also very pro-Seria A.
