By the same token to say he will be bigger than Rooney might be true or not true and at this stage not true, he hasn't even played CL football let alone represent his country.

rooney is 100% over rated ... has never done anything

Ronaldo was ripping it up all last season for man U, and if you had taken him out of the team, man u wouldn’t have come close to winning the title .. yet before every EPL and Cl game, i had to hear the pom commentators blow there load over rooney, and how he would be the key man, yet who would score or set up a goal and save the day .. RONALDO!!! Rooney = 100% overrated

Why don't you check how many goals and assists Rooney scored last season before opening your mouth and falling flat on your face once again.

Do you know what a 'pom' is....

Do you know anything..... every so called 'fact' you've posted has been countered with an actual fact.

Rooney has done nothing, apart from score twice against the Champions of Europe? what was it 4 goals in international knock out competitions, 20odd goals in the EPL last season, won the EPL and league cup with Man Utd and is only 21...

I'd probably wait untill hes nearer the end of his career before saying hes done nothing... hes already achieved and 'done' more than the vast majority of footballers at his tender age.

Yes, i live in England and don't know how we use the term 'pom' Prisoner of Her Majesty.

Allow me to elaborate, we sent our 'prisoners of her majesty' to Australia, thus POM.

Is that clear enough for you...

Probably not a good idea to try and tackle something you obviously have ZERO idea about, a bit like your comical football knowledge, you appear to be an rounded idiot, not just your lack of footballing knowledge.

    is the EPL overrated

    SURE

    that's not the problem though

you can increasingly read and hear that Englanders are getting disenchanted with the whole game (league as well as national team)

I bumped into an old university chum the other day

had not seen him for two years

    Spurs and fanatical England fan

    top bloke

he did not even know that England were about to play Germany soon Yikes

he had effectively given up following the game, he was so fed up with the Lions in Germany; the other reason was that everything these days was about money; he could not sit together with his mates at Spurs..., price increases...

if you can disgruntle somebody like good old Richard, you really HAVE a problem

    -------------------------

    as for Seria A:

once upon a time I really loved it

with all the corruption scandals going on, I'll give Italian football a well-deserved break (unless we Teutons play them)

this serie A season will be one of the best for years ... any way about the money its true .. most people cant afford to take there whole family to games any more ... its becoming a rich mans game. I mean they increased prices so the scum would stop coming, but it just keeps going up

season tickets for arsenal was something like 1300-1900 pounds!

I think the price for the season ticket at The Emirates is £1295

But if you consider where they are based (London) the fact they are attempting to reclaim the cash they have invested into the stadium and will proclaim they play lavish football, then this in some way explains the cost.

Comparatively speaking i believe Man Utd season tickets are approximately half the price of Arsenals.

EPL is better than Serie A right now - simply because they have the most money.

Likewise Serie A was the best league when they had the most money. La Liga was the undisputed no.1 when it had the most money.

EPL top 4 >>> La Liga top for, but La Liga top 10 >>> EPL top 10.

Serie A will come back, traditional giants like Napoli & Genoa, not even mentioning Juve are now back in the leeague and that makes it more spicy. Likewise EPL would be even better if Leeds & Nottingham Forest, for instance were in it instead of teams like Wigan & Reading.

As for there being few *gifted* footballers outside the EPL top 4 - are you kidding me?

    Berbatov
    Keane
    Arteta
    McFadden
    Viduka
    Rozehaal
    Solano
    Dyer
    Elano
    Tuncay
    Bentley
    Tugay
    Ashton
    Valencia
    Diouf
    Anelka

So what if not many on my list aren't English - there's still a good depth in talent Ale

sure you want to make your money back .. but i think they need to slow down a bit .. any way arsenal is not really affected .. they get full games just about every week .. Same with man U and chelski … but most other teams have seen a decline in season membership

1300 quid to watch a side no better than fourth in the league. I suppose when you pay 295 quid a week in rent and only go to the stadium to show off your new iphone or blackberry then it seems like a bargain...

I don't get this line, more money in the game will ultimately mean more money filtering its way down the chain, lower leagues, youth academies, new stadia. We have witnessed this over the course of the last few years in the UK.

In terms of the in your face advertising, you don't have to accept it as a given, as SKY Sports may wish you to, that's why we each have our own minds, to make them up for ourselves. If you can see past the glossy cover, you'll notice the money is a huge benefit for the game as a whole ok

You were unquestionably the best/highest spending league when Gaspart Spent crazy money at Barca (so much so that Saviola was left as the highest earner at your club under the more efficient Laporta), Real were buying Galacticos Left Right & Center, Deportivo almost doing a Basque version of Leed by nearly spending themselveds into oblivion (awesome team though) all the problems with Jesus Gil & Athletico etc, etc.

    --------------------------------------------------

    @ Coops.

After the whole West Ham/Tevez thing, we really can't point any fingers...
    ----------------------------------------------------

    @ FG

You say this, but to me even though the lower tams are getting a bit more cash, it's made irrelevant by the undeniable fact that the gap between the richer/bigger clubs and the rest is growing, almost daily.

In theory it should mean that. But look at Southampton. They've sold Beattie, Crouch, Walcott, Bale in recent years, and now have had to sell their best players to stave off administraction. Why is that? The same applies to other Championship signs who have received huge EPL fees but aren't spending it.

The EPL in a few years will become a league of haves and have nots. With recently promoted sides having no chance of staying up.
