You can find all Hamburg transfers from season 90/91 up to now.
    OK, thanks.
One question remains - how they are doing this?

    Superb signing for them!

    Willkommen Mr. Bradley.
I´ve just heard about it. I don´t really know this player, but I know there were other clubs behind him. Apparently he has done well in Heerenveen.
    The American Lampard

He's a CAM, has good composure in front of goal and distributes fairly well. He's a bit flimsy though, so he has issues against larger players. Gerrard and Hargreaves muscled him off the ball countless times when he played in the USA vs England match.

Sports director with great negotiating skills. *shrugs*

After his transfer to Hamburg in 2006 Vincent Kompany said "There are clubs that want you. And then there are clubs that really want you."

That basically summarises what most players said, who signed for Hamburg during the last couple of years. That they got the feeling that the club really wanted them, and how impressed they were by the way our management fought for their signature.

I know, that's probably not the only secret, but it's certainly one important part of the puzzle.

Of course, someone like Thiago Neves also knows how someone like Rafael van der Vaart became a star here, went to Real Madrid and immediately made the starting eleven (even if it's mainly because Wesley Sneijder is currently out of action).

Hamburg has proven to be a good steppingstone for players, who want to play for one of the really big clubs one day.

Thanks a lot for your effort Lesley, but as you see I already had something different in mind... Biggrin

I've read in Bild that Diego advised Neves to join the HSV. So you owe us something...but don't worry, 3 points should do when we visit Stellingen next time... Wink

But seriously, congratulations again, that's really a great signing. I wouldn't have thought that you could actually get him, but there he is. Astounding.

I'm torn between laughing and crying:

If you were a real man, you'd pay for your big mouth with an actual "punishment"....ex-Bremen players in Bremen shirts don't count, even if it's Mr. Beiersdorfer.

But well, I didn't expect that from a Werder fan anyway. Laughing I knew you'd weasel your way out somehow.

    Re: Hildebrand

    Oh, jessas. Neutral

He shouldn't make the mistake to try getting back into the Bundesliga via the next best club.

I'm still wondering why he didn't manage to go to England. I think he'd fit in there much better than in the Spanish league anyway.

We didn't even have a deal. He just had a big mouth and then weasled out of the situation as good as possible, that's basically it. As I said: typical Bremen. Wink

But well....*sighs and settles back* I'm so at peace with my club and myself at the moment... I don't think anything could affect me really. sunny

    @Lesley

Men always weasle their way out somehow, it`s part of our genes, just like having a big mouth... Laughing

But as a sign of goodwill you may have noticed I changed my Didi avatar meanwhile to a non Werder version... Biggrin
