Last night's hit amongst the stadium crowd during the game, just after ppl were choring Diego's name(ppl have really short memory):

"Jugadores; la concha de su madre; a ver si ponen más huevos; que no juegan con nadie."

Roughly translates to: "Players; your mother's c**ts; how about playing with some balls; you're playing against nobody."

Typically chanted to River Plate's players ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhNyO1vqkL0 ) who have now descended into second division or B...interesting comparison...

I for one will start supporting Uruguay if these dreadful performances go on (something I do not doubt)

Argentina should advance from the group stages, finishing third with a not-so shit goal difference should do the trick, so it's almost impossible not to. That's why the group stages of the Copa America are a bit pointless. Once the knock-out stages begin, the tournament actually starts.

Argentina are under lots of pressure and they much like the English always melt when they feel a little pressure and know that a team is coming to fuck them up.

In case you didn't know, the Argie psyche (they won't admit it to you though) was formed believing that English mentality was the best. The Argies believe that England is the bastion in Europe, not Italia or Spain. It's England for them Argies. lol!

See the power of English media when they camp in countries such as Argie land! Biggrin

Costa Rica are coached by Lavolpe and he should know how to further complicate them Argies, but I doubt he'll go out to KO his own country. It would be total chaos in Argentina if they're KO in group stage at home. The entire country would blow up.lol! Grondona will have to go hiding underground for months. Biggrin <Ale>

I was listening to Mano Menezes and he sounds deeply worried about his chances against Paraguay. Them Paraguayans feel they are Dutchies capable of getting the refs calls (Léoz is from Paraguay) to beat Brasil just like the Khazar told his Jap ref to allow van Bommel and the other fucko to kick shite out of Brasil and to call free kicks near Brasil's box. Tough game for Brasil, Paraguay can play with anyone and it's a plus having Léoz on your side. Biggrin

No worries about Brazil, they will advance and likely win the tournament, despite not being the best team. And you may think I'm pulling your leg, but actually, Peru are a better team than this current Brazilian side. True story. Ale

Perú's decent, but we still have long ways to go before I am happy with the team. We may be at 60% from total potential with this team, but we'll be ready by the time the qualifiers begin. Say eight more games and we'll be definitely ready, with Pizarro and Farfán back in action to be 100% ready.

The one thing I don't like is that we're too defensive (pussy-football), but then again all great teams are built with solid defense first, then a balanced midfield and potent attack.

That's very true. The spine of the team looks good (Vargas in particular looks like a very capable player and natural leader), which is a good basis. The fine tuning can be done in the coming months / years.

By the look of things, the so called 'smaller' South American sides are more advanced tactically than the big boys, that's my impression at least. Chile even without Bielsa is a good example, Colombia looked decent, Peru, too, not to mention Uruguay who have a lot of individual quality in addition to that. Even traditional minnows like Bolivia or Venezuela look very organised. Kinda ironic to see the rest of the continent advancing in this area, while the powerhouses are falling back. Talent without brains is worthless.

You couldn't make up this shit, you really couldn't.

After years and years criticising English clubs, England, and / or 'Peons for playing "pussy" football,

we are now being told that - actually - it's okay, "because all great teams are built with solid defence".

Of course, when people think of great teams, the FIRST team they think of, obviously, is Peru.

Keep this stuff coming, it's far more entertaining than the CA football itself Laughing Ale

Parity may suck for a lot of people. Also, parity and stiff competition is a fucking sin for the Khazar bankers who preach monopoly, communism/socialism and elitism. Perhaps that philosophy of the commies has trickled down to society convincing the mob that teams such as Venezuela or Bolivia standing up to Brasil and Argentina is boring, and that it's no good for the game?scratch

You will watch the game tonight, and you will play BPL fantasy football next season since I'll be in it to win it.

Kimbo will try to beat me and fail again, same as Hardrader, Blue9, and you.

Hold on, Blut. Don't make strange comments like that based only on one game. This Brazil side is very attacking and talented, and had never played together. When/If they start to play well, they will trash each team they face, including in the WC.

Looks like we're in the KO stages. WOW! the game against Mexico should've been a massacre, we hit the post twice and Guerrero missed a sitter. Wave after wave of attacks resulted in near misses, and when the clock showed ten minutes left I thought that the players had run out of gas.

Instead they kicked it into another gear until we scored! Whoop

Them young Mexicans were bunkered in playing 5-4-1 and held on for 82m. It was a good practice for us because we'll see these types of games in the qualifiers where sometimes the ball doesn't want to go in, but we just have to keep pushing until that mothafucka opens up. Whoop

The game against Chile will be to win the group.

batista to change his formation to basically they system maradona played at the world cup.

    4-2-1-3

with Di maria,Kun and Higuian coming in for tevez, lavezzi and Cambiasso

    -----Shit ass defense

    --------Masch---Benega

    ------------Messi

    ----Kun------Higuain---Di maria.

It is better than what he was been using, as Di maria will provide width.

but simple change to a 4-2-3-1 would be better, the role messi is being asked to play in not within his game, he is not the player to link the midfield and attack, the 4-2-3-1, would give him players to link up with, and thats what his game is all about.

but i seriously don't understand why the coach doesn't rate pastore, argentine coaches are some of the most stubborn in the business. they will stick to what they think he right, until the very end. so resistant to change.

exactly, pastore has to start games. i think the manager needs to take a page out of the last proper argertina manager in pekerman and just keep it relatively simple.

messi on the left a proper midfielder and a proper striker. for the false 9 to work on needs to have a team that is clicking in ass aspects of the game.

    ok

Would be the most obvious one, though I still don't rate Banega (nor Cambiasso).

No idea what Batista is thinking though. I doubt Messi playing in midfield is going to help much. I can see the team splitting into 6-4.

maybe she should even move masch to defense, cause i don't think their is a worst defender for a big international team that milito right now and play two of gago, benega, cambiasso or biglia in as the double pivot.

This is garbage so far. More of a war than football. The pitch is pretty poor, and Paraguay have decided to treat Brazil's young team exactly like Allardyce's Bolton used to treat Arsenal - flying into tackles all over the pitch. Lucio and Ramires are trying to give back some in return.
