C Ronaldo the best player in the world?

One stat that should be looked at in CR's case is the number of assists after all he is a winger (apparently), but as far as a attacking midfielder goes he banging in the goals.

Overall CR is the best player right now, with Zlatan behind him, and after its unclear. But theres still half a season to go and anything can happen.

Why include him, if you are not considering him?

Loads of players in European football have similar stats and alot of them haven't been gash for the last two or three seasons either.

Technique normally refers to the way that you strike a ball

No. Beckham was very good but he definitely wasn't as brilliant as Kaká was this season. How many man of the match performances he had in the KO stages? He had some assists from CKs against Juve and Barcelona, but IMO Kaká did much more than him.

A few years ago comparing leagues may have been tricky but could you honestly say that the EPL isn't at the same level or above Serie A at the moment?

And it was a shitty Barcelona at the time! if i remember well he won it cos he scored a hat trick in the last game vs Valencia and thanks to him Barca was qualified for the next CL.
