Looks like Martin Jol is interested in luring 'his signing' Kevin-Prince Boateng (Tottenham) to Hamburg. Jerome Boateng, his younger brother, is already playing there.

    http://www.bild.de/BILD/sport/fussball/bundesliga/vereine/hsv/2008/05/22/angebot-hsv/martin-jol-im-interview,geo=4604748.html

Kevin Boateng is a great talent, but his attitude is awful. This could either work well, so he can finally show his true potential, or go terribly wrong, e.g. Kevin having a negative influence on his brother (who had a great season, and is much more disciplined) and other team mates (partying, lack of discipline, being an idiot in general).

Now that Klopp is the new Dortmund manager, it looks like he wants to convince "his player" Mohamed Zidan (HSV) to move. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they really pull it off, Zidan has been disappointing in Hamburg. Actually, the only good phase in Zidan's club career was in Mainz under Klopp.

They will continue to try to sign expensive players though, Magath has some serious cash to play with.

Newcastle are interested in signing HSV striker and Croatian international Ivica Olic (28 ). Olic wants to decide about his future after Euro 2008.

Tottenham are interested in Wolfsburg central defender Alexander Madlung (25), who would cost €3m (clause in his contract).

PSV is an awesome club, but Farfán needs to get out of there. His cycle at the club is over. Stevens has told him to play for him one year and to get his Dutch citizenship which will help him get in an European "big club" after the '08-'09 season. Farfán says he'd play for Stevens but that his agent will listen to Schalke and Fiorentina's offers. <Ale>

and then become a Dutch international.... Whistle

No, of course Stevens wants to keep a player like that. IMO you are right it is time for him to go. Also because PSV lost Stan Valxcks (TD), probably Gomes is not coming back, Piet de Visser (top scout) also left the club. It is for the first time not so quiet anymore at PSV... It seems to be with Director Jan Reker, the "Brabants bourgondic lifestyle" at PSV is gone. The clubs is getting almost as cold as Ajax and Feyenoord. Not the best climate for South Americans

But then, is Schalke or Fiorentina a step forward to PSV? Not exactly. You play in a more attractive league but that's about it. On the other hand, Rutten is a more attractive coach than Stevens. It'll means at PSV he has to play in a strict organisation and has to work hard (like last year) but nobody will recognise his talent anymore. In Schalke I think he gets more freedom to go forward (on the right side).

All those nationalisation stuff that happens in Spain is plain stupid. And what Stevens want is also completely immoral. I am not even sure it is all that easy to do it like that. (I hope it isn't that easy anymore)

My opinion about nationalisation is clear. If you want a Dutch citizenship you must really want to stay in this country. I mean your future has to be in the Netherlands. This is really fooling around with the rules and we already did that for ages with all the terrible results. So that has to be stopped. Don't f@ck with nationalisation procedures.

    @Schalke fans and Farfán fans
Dutch international Orlando Englaar is almost sure he goes to Schalke. this is good news for attacking players because his passing is great. He always think forward. The question only is. Can he do the same if he gets less space than in the Eredivisie? Is he quick enough when Schalke loses the ball?

You can watch Orlando at the Euro 2008 because he will be a starter on the left defensive midfield. He won the battle with Giovanni van Bronckhorst to play there. Van Bronckhorst goes back to the left back position.

    @ Leo and HSV followers
Jol indeed said yesterday he wants Ricardo Moniz who is extremely unhappy at Spurs since Martin Jol left the club. Sergio Ramos hasn't even spoken to him. He probably doens't even know he works for Spurs. Ramos is not interested in youth he only wants short term success.

I really don't know what to say. He had some good / respectable results in the lower leagues, but I'm not sure if he is ready to take over a club like Leverkusen. Leverkusen expect to play in Europe every year, the pressure isn't exactly low there. And the competition only got stronger recently.

Nice guy, haven't got a clue what he's like as a manager. Read Rudi expects him to improve the desire to win. Was a pretty good striker, think he almost played for every German topclub, bar those in the Ruhrgebiet.

By the way. I've slightly changed my opinion on BVB's Klopp. Still think he's not a great pundit, but read an article on kicker.de why he could be the right manager for BVB. Seems he's a innovative 21st century manager, will give him the benefit of the doubt...
